Win R100,000 for a killer Battle City AI

This looks rather cool, unfortunately the specs are a bit ambiguous at this stage.

Some rather nice changes from last year: it looks like there's at least the possibility to run on three different machines (two players and an adjudicator) so that they can't eat each other's resources. Also, you don't need to start up and quit in the short time. Thirdly, the game is "simultaneous", so it's slightly more fair.

Unfortunately, aside from the SOAP spec, the game mechanics are still a bit murky. It would be nearly impossible to implement an arbiter using the "Rules" page that will look exactly like the final arbiter, so expect a LOT more clarification.

It would be rather nice if they ran an "open" game in parallel. You can connect whatever you want (Beowulf cluster, IBM Deep Blue, Wikipedia), as long as the network spec is followed, you're OK. Obviously it won't be "fair", but it will be very, very interesting.
