Windows 10 automatic updates will be impossible to avoid
Whether you like it or not, you're getting them.

This it will even chow overpriced 3G data. They must be buddies with the cellular operators![]()
Doesn't seem like an issue to me? Data isn't that expensive any more & an up to date PC is important imo if you do online shopping etc
plus its a new operating system so those updates will definitely be important. i just hope you don't have to download them as soon as they ar released. If I'm playing an online game and they come along, i don't want to get heavy ping spikes
If memory serves, you will still be able to control some aspects of it, you will just be unable to turn it off. I prefer my updates to download after 10pm and no later than 6am
There will always be a work around, but for most people in SA I assume it could be quite annoying, hope it won't automatically download while gaming.
100% agree on the non-issue of auto updates. If there's a way that they can be scheduled to downloaded overnight for example even better. I actually think it's a clever move by MS, especially for the average home user (who, let's be honest, are the vast majority of Windows users) who couldn't be arsed to manage his/her updates themselves. Sounds like pro users will have slightly more control over their updates, so it's all good.
As far as I know, it is always low priority, so if you are busy using the internet, updates will slow down or stop. I've never had an issue with windows updates causing lag in a game.
