Are you planning to upgrade to Windows 10?

I would really like some feedback from you guys. UPDATE ALREADY DAMNIT my little guinea pigs! :D

Im curious, can I download the iso from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and then use my win 8 key to do a fresh install. Does any1 know?

i wonder, would be nice if you could, dont want to download the file several times...

Last Edit: I got a notice this morning on my Galaxy S4 that the lolipop is available for it. Update Wednesday!

And we're done!

Took 90 minutes from hitting that "Get Started" button to having my desktop reappear (YMMV).

At first glance everything that was there seems to be still there, so that's positive. No ugly exclamation marks in Device Manager at all. Still, would have liked to get some sort of final installation/compatability/issues report. Thankfully, no sign of one those pithy "Welcome to your new Windows" videos. Yet.

Have only had a chance to check Word (all good) and Outlook and all of my existing accounts and mail are in place and sending and recieving seem to be fine.

New Edge browsers looks and feels pretty slick (compared to IE!) and am using it to post this. Off to wander around for a bit. Good luck to everyone else jumping into the Win 10 pool today - hope yours goes as smoothly as mine seems to have.

Lucky! Still nothing here...Connected via Teamviewer to my home PC

I can't do that anymore, TV complains too much about Commercial use suspected and I'm too lazy to keep changing MAC and uninstall stuff. So I use UltraVNC, just get gmail to find my home IP (Click the "Open in 1 other location" at bottom). My windows just finds tiny updates, so I'm doing those...maybe its gotta be up to date to find 10 :p

Oh, and thanks DarkStarZA for answering my other question. Your thought on the OEM licence issue makes sense, appreciate it.

Tried both those links, with the wuauclt.exe /updatenow. neither work, still just tells me reserved. reading the comments, it seems its just updating those who's time has come anyway. ill keep OCD spamming away tho, want it installed before i go home for lunch :P

EDIT: mmm, found 6 optional updates "hidden" away under "check ALL updates". gonna see what happens after those

My pc needs a format, so not going to bother until I get around to re-installing windows 8 1st. Need to buy a new SSD 1st.

did anyone here finish the upgrade im waiting for a review people.
i might just have to upgrade and find out for myself.

I am very eager to see what game performance is like and possible compatibility issues with the final release.

If I have any issues whether games, general software, drivers or bugs - I will post them all in this thread. Fingers crossed it's smooth sailing. :)

My $Windows.~BT is sitting at 5.90GB but Windows update isn't reflecting any available updates.

Using wuauclt.exe. /updatenow doesn't seem to help either. Guess I'm playing the waiting game.

I needed an excuse to format my wife's machine, since she's gotten a dodgy file somewhere. Convincing her that it's an upgrade is the perfect cover!

Guess i will format tonight put my legit windows 7 on, start the upgrade but once 10 installed THEN do a system backup

Dont want to reformat over and over again -_-

Using her machine to test Windows 10, made me think of this:

Same on my side. But after deleting the files in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download followed by the wuauclt.exe /updatenow command I am now downloading the files. Currently on 80%
