Are you planning to upgrade to Windows 10?

  • Nope. Not a Windows user.

I also found the white taskbar, menu bar, etc. a bit much. The link below will fix it for you and allow you to pick other colors.

http://www.windowscentral.com/replace-those-white-title-bars-windows-10-colors-theme

If you don't want the color to swap each time your background changes, make sure to go to Personalization > Colors and turn "Automatically pick an accent color from my background" to off.

Hope this helps

Like I said, that method doesn't work. Seems that the background color it points to and the one Corel use are no longer linked or maybe different entries in the registry.

I can fix this once I found the value to change but its a bit of a schlep and I don't see end users finding solutions for problems like this.

At least I am not the only one: https://community.coreldraw.com/talk/coreldraw_graphics_suite_x5/f/543/t/50559

Oh and buying X7 or X10 for 12+ designers just not in my IT budget...

is everyone fine with their Nvidia drivers especially the new ones made specially for windows 10,
I just upgraded to 900 series it was hell of a mess I had to clean install again and update every driver before my gpu can get detected I thought it was broken, windows 10 is crap or I might have been an idiot and bought a broken gpu

everything is fine now hello The witcher 3:D

I had a heavy performance drop when i installed it, but with the installation of a new GPU driver it was fixed :)

Nope my 740m worked fine on Windows 10 with a good performance.

Got 29/07 driver version 353.62

I have one issue though, after starting up my PC, old messages I received via the xbox app keeps popping up in the corner as a NEW notification , it's 4days old already

you can turn it off if you want to can't remember where will have to check again, but did it to a few apps.

Edit: Right click Notifications > Open Action Centre > All Settings > System > Notifications and actions

Did you also try the clear all button?

The only problem I had was a big bias towards red colors after I upgraded to win10. Uninstalling and reinstalling my GPU drivers fixed that though.

It seems that the best way to fix something that is not working properly after the upgrade is to just uninstall and reinstall it. I have fixed all my problems so far by doing that.

I noticed over the weekend that my EQ i setup for my headphones no longer worked. Had to uninstall and reinstall drivers / software before i got it working again.

I've been very happy with my Windows 10 installation. Everything is working well and it feels fast and responsive. Also I never used the apps in Windows 8 but now in Windows 10 they actually work quite well. That weather app is great for instance.

My upgrade story has been less than successful so far. I download the ISO to get started, and clicked the reserve my copy thing on my wife's pc. Popped in the iso, started setup, and it asked me for a product key. I provided the windows 7 product key, but it won't recognize it. :/

I decided to delay upgrading for now, reading up some more first.

I just left out the product key.

Did it activate easily later on? I don't want to sukkel with my wife's machine.. With my own I can play around and dual boot and use liveDVD's and all sorts of things, but my wife uses her pc as a tool (imagine!) and won't have much patience for downtime.

I hope it activated! To tell you the truth I never actually checked. I just assumed it did. Will check tonight and let you know.

Yeah i left mine blank, then later on got a semi-scare when its like "right, its time to activate"...almost didnt see the "skip this step" in bottom left corner. did that, installed fine. Check in system and its activated :)

Ossem, thanks for the feedback. I'll try again tomorrow night when the missus doesn't have a presentation to write.

i have a pc in the house that just needs to be wiped and have a restart. Windows to has provided me with this. now i just need to download it onto a flash stick :/

On my laptop I opted for the skip key option when I booted off the USB, at the end I got a this key has been blocked by the activation server... Installed Windows 8 again, activated and just ran the setup from the ISO from within Windows 8. Told it to keep nothing during the install (aka fresh install) and that worked fine. Used a vbs script to get my keys to store for later use (Retail keys)

I have a feeling that I might have used the same key for my Desktop & Laptop, Seeing that I have about 6 or so legal key's, will never know.
