After getting a bit frustrated by my windows 10 upgrade, a bunch of minor issues like the cortana/taskbar that I had to constantly fix, I decided last night to do a reset. it took about 30mins, and it is a dream now, suddenly the windows 10 is amazing and I can see what the fuss is about. Just the fact that it seriously takes 2 seconds to boot to windows and just how well my pc is running now I am a very happy person. Besides the reset cleared my ssd of 60gig's of windows folders. So suddenly I have space to run some games from it.
Does the reset delete your files?
I'm a little underwhelmed after two weeks of running Win10. It's just not that special and the fact that it doesn't allow me to disable Windows updates is really annoying me. For some reason whenever a Win update is being installed my laptop's disk usage spikes to 100%, which renders it unusable until it's done installing.
I think I'll install Ubuntu on my laptop instead. I saw Dell released a version of my laptop with Ubuntu preinstalled so driver support shouldn't be an issue anymore. Will keep Win7 on my desktop for now. The laptop is only used for series and dev work anyway.
I upgraded my mecer tab from 8.1 to windows 10 and it lost its activaton. So now I'm just using it with the activate your windows watermark lol. I won't be upgrading my PC anytime soon.
It's was legit licensed windows before the upgrade. Win 8.1 small screen. Too much work lol I'm gonna use it like this for a while. If it was an authentic version of 8.1 originally installed on the tablet than you should get in touch with them, 'cause that sounds a bit fishy. Hopefully you get it sorted out.
I've been thinking about upgrading, but I'm waiting until they allow you to easily disable automatic updates. I can somewhat understand windows updates being forced, but drivers? Hell no! There are often problems with new graphics drivers. Nvidia is apparently still having issues with Win 10.
Have Microsoft added native support for .mkv and .flac files yet? I recall them saying that Win 10 will support both without the use of third party programs. I'd still end up using VLC anyway, but it would be nice if they got with the times.

So I chatted to support. I gotta call them with my old key for them to generate for me a win 10 key.Is it the plain home or single language?
If single language I can pm you the key.

So everyones using the same keys? I don't get what you're saying...Wasn't needed really as all the keys are shared as there are no unique keys in windows 10.
