Windows 7 distribution ceased, OS prepares for retirement

Wow that didn't last long. I guess they must be making a big push to get everyone onto Windows 8
 
Windows 7 really good. Windows 8.1 really is amazing, thought it was much better than 8. I had to go back to Windows 7, the Bluetooth was not working on Windows 8.1 :(

On that lappie? I understand that some chip manufacturers haven't updated their drivers yet, so you should keep an eye on new versions. Could also look at getting a new wireless card with a BT 4.0 chip built in as well. I've still got to switch out my card reader on my desktop because 8/8.1's default USB driver doesn't work with it and there are no 3rd-party drivers available anyway (it was cheap). Overall, hardware compatibility is quite good.
 
i kinda like win8. Just crashed with me alot but one of my ram dims is failing just to lazy to test witch one. Upgrading ram soon so will move back to 8
 
planning on moving to windows 8.1

the stability of the os on my Lumia 920 is amazing,

and from what I've heard from my brother who deals with it at work it's a easy os to use once you get passed the learning curve.
 
I don't like W 8 or 8.1. I am comfortable and happy with W 7. I see no reason to move. I will be digging my heels in for the foreseeable future.
