I use Gunnars and even though they take a while to get used to I can't go without them anymore. As a programmer I get more work done because my eyes don't get so tired anymore. Currently I use the same pair at home and at work so entered here again because I'd love a pair for work and one for home. Yes, I'm greedy. :)

Courtesy of Titan-Ice, we have a pair of Gunnar Sheadog Mercury computer eye-ware to give-away.

Thar be a typo here, ar!!

Please do. I have been looking at these for a while and the reviews are a bit split.

Same here. Battling at work and home with long hours and all the artificial lighting but spending so much on glasses which DO/DON'T help is an issue. Found lots of reviews from people that use them that say at the very least they help a little bit but optometrists seem to think otherwise... pretty much all optometrists will also never have Lasik done to themselves either but ever since I had it done 5 years ago I will ALWAYS recommend it. It was a massive game changer and if I ever need to have it done again when I'm older I definitely will. So who do you trust, people that use them or people that don't ;)

PS: Gunnar FTW!

Just saw this now... some people say that you should take them off for small stretches as well so that your eyes don't develop light sensitivity, do you find that a problem? On a scale of cost VS Benefit where 10 is massive benefit vs cost, how good would you say they are?

I got Lasik surgery a couple of years ago and since then my eyes have been very sensitive to light. I didn't know that one should take them off for small stretches but will be doing it now. Thanks. :)

As for the scale well that's a difficult question. It depends on how much you would benefit from them. I really struggled with eye strain and the Gunnars have helped me tremendously. So for me it's a 9 out of 10 (since it is quite pricey). For someone who don't get eyestrain or who do not use computers all that much, well I don't really know whether they would need it.

I say that if you do get eyestrain then it's a must buy. If not, then try them out if you can before buying them.

Haven't you already won a pair her before?

LOL, ya, so don't include me in the draw, just thought I'd chip in that I'm enjoying using them for work since I'm a programmer and I stare at screens a lot, then I saw that Solitude said much the same thing.
