I'm (sort of) in the market for a microphone and standalone mics are either cheap or really expensive! So, my next best bet is the Logitech G230, I'll then use my HD202s as a back-up.

You do hear more sounds using headphones than speakers, except if the speakers are loud enough to produce the same quality as headphones on your head.

I have never used nice speakers that give you that surround sound effect while gaming. Headphones give you that surround sound effect, and also isolates all other external noises

My speakers are 5.1, but my room's layout doesn't accommodate for such, so I only use it as a 2.1 set.
