My keyboard has only ever let me down...

I remember the days of Quake 3, when we would have massive multiplayer games, and the keys under my left hand would move around, always during a battle, causing me to get killed and lose the game!!! Damn keyboard!

Re: Win Coolermaster Storm Quick Fire Pro Mechanical Keyboard with iGame Online

My keyboard is a constant pain.using an old wireless media keyboard that i got for my bday about 8 years ago..within a month the stand broke(thing that lifts the top so the keyboard faces the user) and the response time is useless.on many occasions i have failed a jump accross buildings etc because the keyboard registered the keypress too late because i was pressing other keys(only can use 3 keys at a time).

Think thats bad?imagine the countless lans ive been to,that the batteries died!!and ive even forgotten to pack the receiver

Moral of the story..dont get wireless keyboards for gaming..with pc remotes nowdays, they are obsolete and troublesome

My keyboard has killed me when the sticky keys enable causing me to not be able to control my character and then have to restart my PC :D

A keyboard is strong enough to save your life by knocking out a robber with it

I'm still using the old Microsoft Wireless Desktop 300 keyboard, brilliant when it comes to battery life (year +). But it has one fatal flaw that it seems to time perfectly every time. Soon as you are in the thick of things, in the middle of the battle of your life (like what happened with me a lot in Kingdoms of Amalur), the signal just cuts out for no apparent reason, which often results in death when you start bashing that potion key and your character just stands there taking a beating like it's some kind of gang initiation.

I have this "gaming" keyboard I bought for GuildWars, a zBoard...what a waste of money, unfortunately I'm now stuck with it, the "delete" button doesn't work, and I can't type on it that well, it's really useless, in gaming terms I've remapped all the usual keys to other fancy buttons in the control pannel for the zBoard, did they work? nope...

USELESS for gaming!! Please let me win a new KEYBOARD!!!

I've got a cheap-ass old Logitech keyboard. Going on 8 years now and still going strong. Never let me down once and all the buttons still work. :p

Have had my Genius Multimedia Keyboard for a LONG while now. It still serves me almost as well as the first day I bought it ... But, I think it's nearing its peak now.

Playing online has made me pressing keys in a very rapid succession... Needless to say; it's reached a point where ... If my key presses are too frequent, it simply stops registering certain key presses. And THAT, has put me in many a tricky situation. Some in which I was killed, and some in which I managed a near-death narrow escape (Referring to GW2 and Bf3).

I just have a normal Logitech Media keyboard, and on Saturday, my son spilled a cup of cappuccino onto my keyboard, thinking it was oats. I cleaned it and let it dry under a fan. Then cleaned it with a brush and some Alcohol. I let it dry again and on Sunday, when plugged it, it worked fine. But clearly all was not fine when I entered the Battlefield of Ziba Tower Gunmaster. My A, Right Shift, CAPS, 2, Num 8, and right Ctrl is all sticky and sticks. So urgently looking for a new gaming Keyboard.

Had a basic PS2 keyboard back in the day, and both my dad and I played quite a lot of racing games. As a result the "left arrow" key let us down a few times, literally cracking under the pressure of the intense left turns. We replaced it twice by cannibalizing the Fn. key which I still don't know what it does and some other random key once that broke as well.

Keyboard letdown(due to human error): Was playing Diablo 2 back in the day trying to kill the High Counsel before Mephisto when I knocked coffee over my keyboard as I took a sip and was not ready for them(*sigh*) and could unfortunately not complete it as the keyboard was busted.. did complete it however the next day with another keyboard! :D This actually also happened once or twice when I played DOTA when I was in University but nothing memorable as the keyboards I had was relatively cheapies!

I had a nice keyboard. One day I was playing Dead space and the house was dead silent. After a while things start getting creepy and very twitchy when things are jumping out of vents you just know to attack, unfortunately my dog choose this moment to say hello so when I felt something rubbing my leg I picked up my keyboard and swung. Sorry Shelby and also my poor departed keyboard. :(

I was playing bF3 as a scout I was being stealthy sneaking behind enemy lines stabbing my way through the chaos. When suddenly a 5 man squad came around the cornor. Knowing my pistol had a few bullets left and I had to keep my 10 kill streak alive. I decided to run to the nearest empty tank when suddenly my W key decided to give in...after what seemed like ages I decided to use my S key to continue my daring escape I ran backwards into a sniper nest where my dogtags were up for grabs.... Wasd FTL

Well this is not so much mine but my gf's. Its so old it has this crack going down it:O

Most of the buttons stick so it lets you down trying to google something:/

I am in the market for a mech keyboard so this would epic to win!

My good old MS keyboard let me down when it failed to trigger my ultimate spell in DOTA. Lets just say that I have never seen a KB explode quite like this one did. I spent the next hour picking up keys off the floor. I still can't find the enter key.

I had to borrow a keyboard once, when my box, kb and monitor was stolen. It had the Power, Sleep, and Hibernate button right above the arrow key cluster, so I'd hit it every now and then by accident. I've lost days worth of work and gaming due to the (new) pc shutting down inadvertently. It became worse when I had friends over, who realised that they could get a pretty good leg up by pressing my sleep key while in the middle of a deathmatch..

That keyboard is now broken in half, rusting on a rubbish heap somewhere on the outskirts of Pretoria.

This is an easy one: My keyboard is in the process of giving out, so this keyboard would be awesome for me...

I play a lot of BF3 and because I have used the "W" key so many times, it often fails me when I am trying to sprint away from someone trying to shoot the tar out of me. So here's the anecdote: I was playing BF3 yesterday (AK) and came across a tank killer. Tried to run, but "w" just wouldn't have any of it. I died. Oh well.

I remember the good old days when we use to play split screen multi-player games or even same screen multiplayer games against each other - the likes of Mortal Kombat etc.

Many a keyboard let me down in this respect because they have a maximum amount of buttons that can be pressed simultaneously and that maximum can be as low as 3-4 on certain keyboards! So if your friend was holding back down and block, then you pretty much couldn't do anything until he released a key!

More recently it became a problem when I tried out Guitar Hero for the PC... I couldn't even complete the normal difficulty level because of the limitation of simultaneous presses on my keyboard.

Ah me and my keyboard... I've had the same Microsoft keyboard for the last 8 years... and it still works! Not a gaming keyboard, but it hasn't stopped me from playing so much that the WASD keys are now blank. It hasn't really let me down, and I love it! But I think it's time to move on!
