Thanks to everyone for participating. We might just try a similar yet new and improved version of this competition in future :)

You sure I only got 7 votes? my nephews going to be so disappointed now, how am I going to break the divorce news of his parents without the PS3

Who gave me the 22 votes at the end then? Cause I doubt they were shills

thanks for the vote and thats what I find very puzzling.

Was watching the last hour or two and saw many voting for me and I also doubt they were

Also checked the welcome new member thing and saw no clones being made during that time

clone: several accounts made by the same person to decoy votes

So I would have had to made 60 decoy accounts which is bull. One reason I hate voting competitions also.

Mygaming is becoming like mybb with fixed results

My family is angry that we didnt win cause of this

This is the most grossly unfair competition system that I have ever come across in my entire life.

Firstly, with the competition being about how interesting one's topic was I thought I was going to win because clearly, my topic garnered the most amount of interest - judging from the replies and views I had to my thread (56 replies and over 1200 views). No other contending interesting topic could match these stats.

Secondly, I was prepared to congratulate Ichigo for winning because he had more votes than anyone else, by a landslide.

Tell me how that is not unfair.

I personally encouraged most of the people who voted for me to sign up to MyGaming to vote for me. Yes, these are new people, but was it not the purpose of this part of the competition, for MyGaming to gather new accounts. Many of the people who voted for me are avid gamers themselves, and most are from PS3za.

So, let me get this right. The real voters are voters who had been members before the competition and shell votes are the voters that were recruited in the voting process?

Explain to me please because none of this makes sense, particularly because the competition wasn't really about the competition (the interesting topic) but about one's popularity and secondly, the votes that count are only those of long time MyGaming members?

Is that not defeating the whole purpose of the interesting topic competition and shooting yourselves in the foot at the same time by punishing those who have recruited the most number of new members?

+1 to everything you said and very well written McCrazieGoalz and there was no rules to say you cant recruit people to website to vote.

Changing the rules on spur of moment is wrong and I think you need to check what shill means James.

Shill = decoy account not new people signed up

Rules are like a written contract we agree to when we enter.

I think @tsomoleele liked more my topic "Killing Like a Girl: The Invisible Girl Gamer".

You know, the one that had 56 post replies to it and 1200 views.

Are you telling me this because you are in fact that same one post wonder?

Hope James reconsiders the winner, cause it just said the community must vote for interesting thread and aren't new members part of the community?

If I become a new member of a church etc. I am allowed to vote there isn't a block cause I am new.

One of my friends who joined and voted for me was so interested in the site and going to tell him its crap and fixed with the big prizes.

There were a lot of new accounts created which have only done one single thing since joining the forum - voted on the competition poll. They haven't even made a single post. Hardly part of the community and very likely shill/fake/spam accounts created for the sole purpose of voting. I can see all of this (non)activity in the back-end of the forum.

Notice how similar the scores were once these nonsense accounts were removed, filtered down to accounts made before the poll went up.

The decision is final.

Not if they don't join the community. Not even introducing themselves or anything.

I think having your mates sign up just to vote for you is another form of cheating, because us (The community) who are currently here and have contributed way more will obviously choose who we feel deserved the votes more. Like James said, to have your mates come here, sign up just to vote and not add anything of value to the forum needs to be scrutinous and what James did was right to take out those who are just pushing for votes in every way possible.

This is MyGaming not PS3za, we are a different forum entirely.
