I joined Mygaming to talk about games with like minded people that I can relate to because they are South Africans.(as far as I know).
I continue to visit everyday because I feel accepted here and the Mygaming community are a genuinely honest and helpful bunch of people.
 
Like a lot of people here it seems, I used to visit MyBB, and usually check out the gaming section there, then when they announced MyGaming, I signed up here rather. I did lurk for quite a while though, just checking out the articles, and poking around in the forums but not really posting. I think I really started getting involved when I won a competition "whistling:

I think it was Dead Space 2 that I won. I wasn't active enough on the forum to enter here, but I got an entry on Facebook. I did get trolled a bit when I was surprised to have actually won.

I've stuck around because I've come to enjoy being part of the community and chatting about gaming or whatever else comes up with the nice folks here. There are always interesting conversations going on, and it's lekker to be involved. The awesome competitions are a nice bonus though.
 
I joined Mygaming to find news about the new gaming products coming out and to chat about the different gaming platforms and find out what is the best gaming laptop for me to get.

I've been a part of many different forums/communities but I've generally lost interest or been dissatisfied after a few months.

Mygaming has kept me hooked for 3 reasons.
1) amazingly up to date and informative articles which are so well written. A world class level of writing

2) a super friendly community with relaxed moderators that allow the for forumites freedom to view our own opinions

3) amazing competitions

I joined up a little over a year ago, as I found that many popular online communities were full of trolls and even though these sites were "gaming communities", very little interaction about games were taking place. I found the link to this site on Twitter, where someone posted a link to an article.

Then I ran into the TK, and this is kind of where I ended up.
 
I joined recently coz out of all the gaming communities iv checked out , u guys are the biggest , the best the number 1 :) not to mention the constant epic competitions :0
 
I joined MyGaming because yoou guys are the BEST! ^_^

I first got wind of the forum after TBlaar rubbed the awesome stuff he won here in our noses, so I decided to check it out for myself, and I ended up staying.

Besides all the awesome givaways, the MyG forum is a nice family type community. There is always someone to give advice or help out when you need.... well anything really.

PS. The best way to celebrate this amazing accomplishment would be to give me that XBox :D

I joined for the competitions that Mygaming hosted in it's 1st(/2nd)? month
Overtime, as Mygaming gained a pace at producing quality content to read, I have since then stayed for that reason,
And the community is quite friendly most of the time and local news is always awesome to read :D
 
Well what can I say, joined here when it opened. Was a long time member of MyBB.

I prefer to come here than MyBB. MyBB has gone to shit.
 
Moved over to PC games and the local console forums was a bit alien towards PC gamers, so I hunted around, landed here and have been coming back ever since.

The awesome comps does not hurt either!
 
The reason I joined mygaming is a friend refered me to mygaming to get help on my ps3 and ever since then I have really enjoyed being apart of the mygaming community
 
To be honest I just drop by every morning for the image of the day thread, and quickly scan if there is anything else I can contribute to.
 
I am not a gamer, or at least I was not a gamer. I recently bought myself a PS3 to play blueray movies on and got some free games with it, so I started playing them.... Needless to say, my game collection is growing now, but I need to research games before buying, and that brought me here.
How better to get information and knowledge on games etc when you are new to this....?
 
The epic WoW rage threads brought me here and even though I mostly lurk on here it is still fun.

Mygaming Rocks

You guys provide up to date info on gaming news and go further by doing interesting feature articles on gaming culture. What I really appreciate is the fact that you put your own unique brand of humour in some articles and the competitions are brilliant. E3 coverage was on the ball. Thanks myGaming!
 
Well to be frank a felt that you guys were the most down to earth and well informed South African gaming forum. I've found loads of good, useful advice/critiques/reviews and more on these forums, all with a much needed South African view point. MyGaming for the win!
 
I joined MyGaming when it started to keep up to date with news in the Gaming space. Simple reason :). I'm your typical lurker, and still read the forums a lot, but just simply don't have time to engage in many of the discussions. It's also quite fun seeing some of the comments and trolls on many of the articles :D.

Oh, yes, and the comps are good too "whistling:
 
To be honest it was for the Diablo 3 comp.entered the one on myBB and found a link somewhere to enter the one here.now i scan through every few days when i have time and see if any good game articles are around or if people need hardware help/advice and offer my 2c
