*WINNERS ANNOUNCED* Win Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013

This week MyGaming is giving away three digital download copies of Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 for Xbox 360.

As a bonus, there will be one grand prize winner who will receive the Deck Builder’s Toolkit and a Starter Deck of cards.

The Deck Builder’s Toolkit contains:

  • 125 semi-randomized cards suitable for building several different Magic decks;
  • Four 15-card booster packs from a variety of recent Magic: The Gathering sets;
  • 100 basic land cards to help you cast your spells;
  • Deck builder’s guide with tips about building the best Magic decks;
  • Magic “learn to play” guide; and
  • Full-art reusable card storage box.


How to enter

- Make sure you are up to speed with the MyGaming Forum rules.

- Entrants must be a resident of and residing in South Africa.

- Entry into the competition closes at 11AM, Monday, 23 July 2012.

Winner announce

- On Monday, 23 July 2012, the 3 winners will be chosen. The first winner picked will win the grand prize which includes the Deck Builder's Toolkit and a Starter Deck of cards.

- The winners will be announced in this thread, as well as in a new thread in the MyGaming competition forum. Reminders will be sent out via the MyGaming twitter stream.

On a serious note, transformer cards are usually the fun ones, they help a bum load. :)
Currently my favorite one is Soul Seizer.

I keep my sliverans up my sleeve since they are awesome rare gold cards which complete every deck for competitions

I also use to play Magic The Gathering Tournaments long ago and won few matches at Stadium On Main in Cape Town so I hope I win so I can play again without forking out lots of cash, since my cards cant be used anymore for tournaments

My personal favorite is rite of replication
as that card can win you a game. And is very easy to cast ( low mana required )
 
I am new to the magic scene as i have never played the physical card game. It recently sparked my interest when i saw the review for the game up on mygaming and caused me to check out video's of gameplay on the web. Now i'm kinda addicted and love watching different decks and playstyles in action. So with my limited card knowledge a card that i think is super awesome and would have in my deck if i had one would be Mind Control!. Thanks for the competition and good luck to all the entrants.

I think this reveals my age, but I started playing Magic during the Ice Age (the expansion not the epoch), and I built up a formidable necro-deck that people really didn't know how to deal with at the time. I loved that deck, and particularly the card, necropotence. Here it is in all its glory...

A real nice ace to have in the sleeve, and a nice pisseroffer :D

Plays best when you have ample manna, so next round you start playing black/white creature combos and start picking off the opposing forces ^_^

Still the best, simplest common card ever printed. I love these, they go into all decks that use red.

I'd have to go with a classic, Bird of Paradise.. Makes splashing 5 colours into your deck doable.. Its always nice playing what "looks" like a green deck, and then suprise!
It would've been Dark Ritual if it wherent banned almost everywhere :wtf:

Force of Will is a card I always want in hand (or up my sleeve), along with a Blue Card to Remove from the game with it. No Legacy or Vintage deck should be considered without these. By far my MVC - Most Valued Card.
You can only truly have the "Power of Denial" with this up your sleeve. When people ask, I often say, I've always got a Force Of Will.
 
Been ages since I've played and wanted to get back into it for ages (just broke). This is the card I'd have up my sleeve. Was gonna post Serra Angel since that was one of my favourites, back in the day. But this one looks just awesome.

I built a red deck that was completely damage oriented, basically full of dmg cards and super cheap creatures with haste. :D

This was my favourite as I could win the game so quickly:

I didn't have the best magic cards but I always beat my friends when I whipped this out. Not a lot of them had flying creatures :p I mainly played as the black deck. But its been years since I have played would like to get my little brother into it :)
