Wtf are you doing in Sweden :wtf:

/derail off

Well, at first I was gob-smacked at how insanely expensive almost everything is around here (except for internet, that's still cheaper than 4Mbps Telkom ADSL and data and line rental). And then I spent some time sight-seeing. And then I did normal things like cook, clean and learn a new language :p

My husband is Danish. But we decided on making Sweden home so here we are.

When are you coming to visit? :D

I'm more subtle in my approach, to be honest with you.
Situationally and circumstantially dependent, of course.

There's... subtlety on the internet?

I figure that there's never a subtle way to gloat. Either you're being an ass, or you try to do it in a tactfully funny way. I think I tend to manage to pull off a combo regardless of how hard I try to just make a funny :( But I figure people can interpret it however they want and if they want to interpret it in the negative then boo to them.

But you're right, tact and subtlety are largely situationally/circumstantially dependent.

Regardless, don't ever over think things :p

Why Sweden doesnt it get quite cold up there being close to the north pole or do you want to be a viking :D.

You never really feel the cold except in winter and then indoors is always centrally heated. Buses and trains are always heated and when you go outside you're generally wearing nice winter clothes (I love winter clothes). And even then it takes an hour or so before you really begin to feel the cold outside, at which point you're pretty much indoors again.

Spring and summer are really beautiful and the weather is actually fantastic. It doesn't really get very hot (I think it's between 18-24C most days) and only once in a month it might hit 30C. But it's not like a South African 30C... It's humid and sticky and urgh...

But the days are lovely. Right now it's 14C and there's a nice clean, ozone-smelling drizzle outside and it's WONDERFUL :D

The transition from white winter to colourful spring is amazing. All sorts of colours everywhere: reds, yellows, blues and pinks.

I'm in love :p

Do you get the aurora lights often there and those weird spiral things in the sky like Norway has :D

In person, I scream non-subtlety (talking to myself out loud, usually)(over MFing thinking everything:eek:), but online, I want a more subtle persona.

Where I live (Skåne -- southernmost Sweden, right next to Denmark) it's very rare to see them. However, it's common to see them in Luleå (all the way north). I hope to take a trip there at some point in the next year or two--I'd very much like to see the northern lights :)

I am so completely the opposite of that. Online I'm arrogant, condescending and generally a smart-ass. But in reality I'm pretty humble and diplomatic. I figure that online people have thicker skins and generally are bright enough to fend for themselves. Or, alternatively, have had it coming for a long, long time.

I would love to see your pictures of the lights and the country side since all I picture is snow and mountains everywhere like in the movies or games :D.

I am pretty much the same as online and in real life.

I use a lot more profanity in real-life than I do online... Unless playing Battlefield 3. :D

One thing I would never do is profane, drink, smoke or take drugs irl, but maybe in a game for fun.

I've experimented with smoking... No! It's just plain f*kken bad. Everything tastes and smells like that kak.
Drinking? OK... Anything BUT beer.
Drugs? Painkillers ONLY!

I have tried beer also and hate the taste so much and wine too doesnt taste nice to me at all and smoking is like standing behind a car exhaust :D.

Dont get why people like any of those things even for the rush they give which games can give anyway without doing those.
