My best was the first time I started LANing.

The old school Duke Nukem 3D

Running around shooting rocket launchers at one another, shrinking guys then standing on them, flying with jet packs and who can forget the quirky Duke Nukem sayings like "I don't have time to play with myself.'.

Ahhhh the good old times of gaming....

I remember my first 2 games I ever played were called Toxic Bunny and Soccer Kid.
The exhilarating gameplay of Toxic Bunny was mind blowing! And the seed of my love for games was planted!

I remember my parents got a Mweb demo disc with a dial up demo for your PC and on that disc was my first 3D FPS that i ever played... Quake... The gameplay was fun and I must say when your 5 years old that game is scary as Hell!

Then I discovered a little game we all know and love called Doom. I basically shat myself when I played it but I was stunned at how fun the game was. At the same time that i was playing Doom I played a demo version of Heretic, which was also amazing.
I then played basic games with the joystick, like commanche gold...

Then came the year 2000....

Gaming transformed into something that changed my life...

My parents bought me all the need for speed's for the PC and I loved them!
I then saved enough money to buy myself a ps1!
my first console games was:

Spyro
Heart of Darkness (one of the best games i have ever played!)
Tekkken 3
Bloody Roars
Toy Story 2
Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2
Resident evil
etc.

As the years came rolling the games came with them...
I started jamming on the pc again and played games like Serious Sam (first and Second Encounter), where the humor was just as entertaining as the game itself. I especially enjoyed the gore and the character which is Sam. But in my personal opinion, serious sam 2 wasn't such a sucsess as the others.

(lets skip a few years)

Alot of games were played during the time period... And then dawned the age of the PS3...

Best games i played would most definitely be:

God of war series. Kratos who just doesnt seem to die!
Uncharted series. The amazing puzzles
SSX. The great online play
Brutal Legend. Eddie Riggs (Jack Black, the LEGEND himself)
F.E.A.R 3. That scary ass little girl
The PS Move. Beats the Wii hands down
Prototype. Alex Mecer
Infamous 1 and 2
and a hefty load more

Games are a great way to enjoy yourself and a way to create your own reality!
Never give up gaming because its the best way to relieve stress, build your hand eye co-ordination and lets you have tons of fun!

and remember..........
Games dont make people violent.......... Lag does!:p

The first gaming experiences I can remember come from the old Ninendo days, with those big game cartridges with 100 different. My brother and I played so much until those little controls died. Best games to remember- Contra and Ninja Turtles :D

Another favourite game for me was Tekken Tag (classic to me?). Practised the move combos on the PS2 at home, especially with my favourite character, Ling Xiaou. Then take my skills to the arcade and beat all the guys haha :P

@monk just leave them dude, they don't know how to read the rules and it's pointless throwing your arms up in the air about it.

Hmm... let's see. Oh! One of the first games I ever played that really got me hooked was Disney's Hercules on Playstation One. I remember I had a notebook where I would write down the codes for each level (this was before save games :P). I played the level where you fight the Hydra a hundred times!! I remember the length of the game was different depending on which difficulty you played it on - on the hardest there were three extra levels. I could never beat the last one, even with my dad's help. Managed to get my hands on it again a few years back and I beat it in minutes :) Love that game.

Wow.. Dafuq is happening to South Africans' reading?:wtf: Anyway, can we still post in the threads after the deadline, because its like the threads will just be dead until Friday

I will have to lock that forum so we can go through the entries and pick the winner. People making posts in there might muddle things up a bit.
