Thanks to our friends at Ster Kinekor Entertainment we have two copies of Metal Gear Solid HD collection (Xbox 360) to give away.

How to enter

- Post a short paragraph in this thread explaining why you are the ultimate Metal Gear fan. Alternatively, tell us how much shame you have to bear for never having played Metal Gear Solid.

- Post only once in this thread. Spamming or conversing in the thread gets you disqualified.

- Post 10 times on the MyGaming forum during the week.

- Reviving old threads and making pointless posts will not be tolerated and will be monitored. Fair warning :)

- Make sure you are up to speed with the MyGaming Forum rules.

i am the ultimate metal gear solid fan because now matter how many times i play an mgs title I always end up more confused with the storyline's yet i always go back for more action, over and over and over.
 
Well I wouldn't say I'm the ultimate Metal Gear fan because I haven't played all the games. But that needs to change. I loved Snake Eater though, The End is still one of my favourite boss fights ever. I even want the game for my 3DS. But I need to learn the cannon because even with Snake Eater I was a bit confused as to what was going on. So I need this collection. Have been wanting it for a long time.
 
I have shame, lots of shame. When people ask me if I've played MGS I say yes, even though I've only played it on a cellphone... a Nokia6230!!! Whenever people talk about MGS, I just smile a nod acting all excited like I've played all the MGS over the years. I would love to play all these games so that I can actually have a truthful and proper gees filled conversation about MGS.
 
I think you can tell from my avatar how big a MGS fan I am :D. Recently I've started to complete my MGS collection and it would be awesome if I could win the HD collection for Xbox360.
 
I remember like it was yesterday. The years was 1999 and I was a proud new owner of a Playstation with a copy of metal Gear Solid. No memory card, console on for at least a months without shutting it down. The good old days, Now i'm gaming my days away on my brand new Kinect and just loving every minute of it! This HD Collection will be a awesome addition to my current setup "whistling:
 
Metal Gear Solid was one of the biggest games I played back on my PS1 and PS2 and I would LOOOOVE to play these again. I remember how frustrated I got with some of the stages and replaying levels EVERY time the DAMN alarm would sound!!
 
Metal Gear Solid 1 - had never heard of it until a friend said "you should try this" - I finished it in one sitting. I've since played it multiple times, and even purchased it for PC. Metal Gear Solid 2 was jaw dropping when it came out on the PS2, and I still remember seeing the "Washington Bridge Rain Scene" and thinking that Graphics would never get better than that.

Metal Gear Solid 4 was a just wrap to the series, but unfortunately I never had the chance to play MGS3 - this HD collection would finally allow me to close this gaming chapter in my life, as well as relive some of the better moments in the MGS series.
 
the only thing im ashamed of is that i only played the one on ps1 ... it was freaking awesome! being slow to start up the one on psp tho, really glad they brought it to xbox
 
Awesome awesome awesome game! I am the hugest MGS fan and consider MGS1 as my favourite game of all time! The MGS series captivated me and is probably the cause of many sleepless nights and my addiction to video games :D It was one of the first game genre's that showed me games can be serious and have cinematic qualities. I frikken love this series!!

Unfortunately I never got to play MGS3 so I am super keen to play it. With every playthrough I learn something new which is just one reason why I keep coming back, especially MGS4. I want this HD collection so bad!
 
lol, you cant be the ultimate metal gear fan if you dont have this collection already! I just really wanna play these games again cos they were awesome
 
I just really like the look and feel of the MGS series, its a great game, and I would love to add it to my awesome growing xbox game collection. Bring it on!

I have played them all and even sit with the books (and he books are pretty damn terrible).
Once had to start a and complete MGS2 over a single day and night to get it back to the owner! Was a amazing experience!
So please HD me!
 
When I don't want to work here at the office I go sit underneath a cardboard box so nobody spots me lazing off.
 
i had metal gear back on the PS1.. and it was awesome.. :) i'd really like the play it again.. :) so give it to me and let me plaaaay. :D
 
I am the ultimate Metal Gear fan because I have a giant box in my room that I hide in whenever I want to become invisible.

I also own all the games, cosplayed as snake and just plain love the series!
 
Oh the shame! I've never played any of the Metal Gear titles. Embarrassing I know. I'm ready to turn over a new leaf and begin playing, especially since I got a new Xbox bundle. Please spare me the odd, judging looks shot at me by colleagues and peers, and help me win so I can regain some pride.
 
Oh the shame. The humiliation. The indignity of it all. The horror.

I played MGS on PS1 once for about 5 minutes and loved it. Then my mate took back the controller and we never spoke again. Since then I have only ever been able to read about Snake and his adventures or watch clips on the net. I've longed to become the master of stealth and secrets again, but alas, it was not to be. I have played a few adventures with another character of stealth and dark shadows and who could arguably be compared to Snake, but I cannot make such judgments myself until having played both characters.
