*WINNERS* rAge expo day-tickets courtesy of NAG Magazine

James

MyGaming Alumnus
Our friends at NAG Magazine, organisers of the rAge expo 2012, have kindly provided us with 10 sets of double day-tickets to give away to the MyGaming community.

That's 10 winners, who will each receive 2 day-tickets.

These tickets grant access to the expo for any chosen day, and do not grant access to the sold-out NAG LAN event.

Winners of the give-away will be able to collect their tickets from the ticket-desk at the entrance of the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg on whichever day they choose to visit.

We will be requesting a name and ID number from the winners, so that they can identify themselves when collecting their tickets at the entrance to the expo. MyGaming will not be creating a record of ID numbers, and will merely pass this information on to NAG magazine.

If you cannot make it to Johannesburg for the expo, or do not wish to share your ID number, kindly refrain from entering the competition.

I have been every year since, I can't remember when. Its great to meet up with fellow MyGaming members. There should be some awesome games on show this year, and holding thumbs for some awesome gaming hardware specials. I am there like a bear.

I am excited to meet the mygaming folks and to get more kalahari vouchers and other special prices at the Rage Expo should be quite fun.

Last year was the first time I went to rAge and I really enjoyed it. Its great getting a chance to play various games prior to release and seeing what I'm gonna pre-order. Last year I went to check out the demo of The run and try out 3D gaming, both of which turned out well. I was also able to get a free copy of Dead Space, without I would have defiantly missed out on an awesome series.
I think I had to sum it up, I went with expectations at one level but rage defiantly surpassed that.

Plus I want to chat to some hardware dealers about a new pc chassis and I'm hoping for a good deal. A free double ticket already starts me off with saving on anything I buy and since I need to get a ticket for the girl I've invited, I will be using both tickets.

Re: Win rAge expo day-tickets courtesy of NAG Magazine

Two highlights from past visits stand out for me. The first was seeing Borderlands being demonstrated. I often read up about perspective games, look up screen shots and images of game play as well as find the odd You Tube clip. But there's nothing like seeing the game being demonstrated. Easily made up my mind that this was a game to get.

The second was watching my daughter playing the Xbox Kinect when it was first released. She was in her element. While she wasn't brilliant, she was oblivious to the world around her, and having the time of her life.

It's experiences such as these that make it easy to return year after year. You never know what the next memorable moment will be.

Had some good times at rAge, mostly enjoy walking around trying out anything that is playable. Came top of the round in the Dirt 3 race-offs which was fun and got me an LG togbag. My favourite part is finding and playing a game I didn't know about and it turns out to be pretty awesome.

Like Spooner, I've gone every year to not only meet up with fellow MyGamers!! :) but also to have a good time, take advantage of the specials and enjoy a new gaming experience every year. :D

rAge is a gamer's perfect day. Arrive early, stand in the queue and talk to other random gamers, check out all the new cool stuff, buy a few things that's on your wishlist, get a Dome-shwarma, walk around some more, and some more, and some more.

I love going to rAge.

Last time I went to rAge was back in 2009 (3 years ago). It was an awesome experience and the two big games that year were Brütal Legend and Batman: Arkham Asylum. This is the year I vowed I would return to the expo. That is why I NEED these tickets.

Never been to rage even though been around the scene for many years. Last year I was close to going and other things came up and had to give my tickets away, maybe this year I will be lucky enough to win tickets to go as funding problems exist at the moment.

Why am I keen to go to rage this year?

- Never been and neither has the Gf who would be joining me should i win 2 tickets
- Bunch of clan mates are going to rage this year, Some from dbn and cpt coming up and for me not to make it even though im in jhb would be disappointing to them.
- Whenever there is anything IT related or gaming related I am interested in going, there is nothing better than keeping up to date with the latests games and technology and rage is just the perfect place to see things you don't normally get to see.
- I have always wanted to take part in the rage cosplay or atleast check it out, some people really do a good job with their costumes.. Perhaps if i win ill get my costume on!
- I guess it would be good to get a day away from the PC and do something semi-productive and socialize in person and not via teamspeak :p

Great comp mygaming! hope to see you at rage:)

I've never been to rAge, so I would love to go experience the event. I am looking forward to hands-on experience with the Wii-U, I think that will be a great thing to play with in order to get a feel for how a dual-screen setup will work. Other than that, I'm looking forward to seeing ALL THE THINGS!!!

My first time at rAge was in 2010. I've met quite a few people who I play on Xbox LIVE with and it was awesome meeting them. I went again last year but his time I didn't meet that many people who I've seen online but I did get myself an SSD which changed my whole pc's performance. This year I'll be going to meet a lot of people from Xbox LIVE, the Gears 3 community especially, and of course my first pc clan which I've been apart of since April this year.

Last year I was sick when I went but I enjoyed it a lot.

Firstly because it's there where I met the nice people from ChessConquest which sparked my love for chess again.
Secondly because I watched one of the creators of the new Tomb Raider play through the first bit and the game looked amazing!
Thirdly because I saw Pippa and she remains one of the most beautiful women in South Africa.

:)

I've never been to rAge yet but I'm quite keen on attending as it'd be a great chance for me to meet some SA gamers. I recently relocated here and honestly don't know quite what to expect. In the past, expos & conventions have always had a great vibe as only people who are interested usually attend, making for an all-around enjoyable experience. I would very much like to check out forthcoming games and their playable demos, in addition to finals for some of the competitive tournaments showing there.

I've been to many rAges and they've always been awesome! I missed last year's one due to certain circumstances and would love to redeem myself by going this year!

My previous adventures include:
- Guitar heroing my life away
- Purchasing of many many games :P
- going at it in that one year with the MMA steel cage! :D
- dem mini donuts!!!
- assassinating my buddies in AC multiplayer (Such satisfaction! Hahaha)
And many more I could add :)
Let's hope I can get more stories this year!

For the past five years that I've been to rAge I always take a different one of my technologically inept friends with and introduce them to a whole new world of awesome. And they always look a little starry eyed at the end of the day (heck, so do I)!
