Courtesy of the fine gaming folks at Megarom Interactive, we have 75 Guild Wars 2 beta access keys to give away to the MyGaming community.

The next beta weekend for Guild Wars 2 is happening over 20-22 July 2012, ahead of the full launch on 28 August 2012.

There are 75 beta access keys to give away in a raffle format. The competition closes on Sunday, 15 July at Midnight.

How to enter

- Post a paragraph in this thread describing how you are preparing to hunker down for an epic stint immersed in the world of Guild Wars 2. This is your entry into the competition.

- Make sure you are up to speed with the MyGaming Forum rules.

- Entrants must be a resident of and residing in South Africa.

- Entry into the competition closes at midnight on Sunday, 15 July 2012.

Winner announce

- On Monday, 16 July 2012, the 75 winners will be chosen by raffle. This will take a bit of time to compile the list, so please have patience on Monday :)

- The winners will be announced in this thread, as well as in a new thread in the MyGaming competition forum. Reminders will be sent out via the MyGaming twitter stream.

Mumble channel created and already got a few mates to play with, got a rocking wallpaper and pretty much read anything and everything related to Guild Wars 2. :o
 
Haven't done anything yet. In fact when I saw this, my inner child was like, "Gimme gimme gimme gimme."

Meh, hopefully I win. Haven't played an MMO since WoW (WoTLK) and have heard good things about GW2
 
I have kicked the MMO habit for a while now. Things have been great. FPS' have been fun. But the addiction is growing and consuming me slowly but surely. I tried my best to fight the hype machine this time round, for it has let me down in the past... However, never has there been such promising feedback based on beta play. I must taste a little...

I browse reddit, GW2Guru and GW2Wiki daily and am beyond pumped to shelve my other games to taste that sweet forbidden MMO nectar once more. BUT FIRST, I must sample this brand.. Surely a sample couldn't hurt?
 
Not too long ago bought all the xpacs for GW, played that a bit to get excited for GW2. Been following its development pretty much since announcement, watched tons and tons of videos and playthroughs and what not. So now there is pretty much nothing left to do but sit and wait for the awesome to arrive.
 
Since I started working I haven't played much, but I kept telling my team members I'll have to take a few days leave just for GW 2. Waited long for this release. The wait is almost over! :)
 
Gotten a teamspeak server for me and my closest friends ready, booked for a day or 2 off to play the game and arranged with all my friends to be on the same server. Also coordinated what what professions we need to take, so we have all the professions between us. Other than that, we are just going to go with the flow and enjoy the game.
 
Stocktaking on cooldrinks, food and other assorted sweets to keep me awake while testing the epic game called Guildwars 2. Loved the first one and will love to try the second one since the people who made it are great.

May also need to buy a new laptop to run it on high settings.
 
Setting up my PC in the living room on the big TV and getting lots of supplies and logging out of everything else as to not be disturbed, Also lots and lots of blankets! It's a damn cold winter!
 
Already preordered the game also joined a guild and have my leave open for a day or two of playing this nonstop with my fellow gamers.
 
I'm not to keen on Guild Wars 2 to be honest and will only accept a beta key if there aren't enough people entering. Just to give it a try.
 
I haven't really played any MMO since Ultima Online, but I'm really curious about this one and would love to try it out.
 
Pre-ordered GW2 today, confirmed with a few mates that they will in fact be playing. Arranging a week off on release from studies, as well as moving a mini-fridge into my room to provide food and beverages. On my to-do-list: buy lots of Monster energy drink, buy a bed-pan for the Number 2 situation as well as getting my trajectory right for peeing out of the window.

Warming up with some The Old Republic as well as some long stints in Battlefield 3 to test my endurance. WHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAA? :p
 
I shouldn't be entering this since I've got a massive assignment due on the 24th but whatever... I'll send the family off and have the house to myself with a fully stocked fridge and hours and hours of sweet GW2 bliss.
 
Burnt out from playing WoW, tried Swtor but it became the same old by level 45, but from reading and watching stuff about this game I am curious! So my plan would be, wait for the immense download to complete :D whilst I try figure out which class I am gonna choose so I dont end up creating something that turns out to be a boring setup! oh and lots of chips.

I have started downloading the client, going to buy extra bandwidth from Afrihost this evening, taking my chances between the childrens gaming online sessions. Want beta key so I can get Hero's Armband. Will buy my key month end, come hell or high water. :)
 
Well, having never played Guild Wars before, i'm rather looking forward to the challenge of a new game. Heard lots of great reviews about the first game, So i see myself hunkered down in my chair, hot chocolate, 2 pairs of Tracksuit pants, 3 shirts, Jersey and a blanket with numbs hands trying desperately trying to click my way through a new world of adventure and war :D
 
Never having played Guild Wars, after watching a few of the videos posted on mygaming I'm very interested. The game looks breathtaking and never having really played an mmo I don't know what to expect but I would be very excited to give this awesome looking game a try and a half.
