Is logitech still the best with all 3 and whats the best for under R400 for each of them?
Wanting to move my laptop off the coffee table when I get my new 32" TV so thats why I am thinking of wireless if the cables dont reach the laptop.
I have a Logitech wireless combo. It's excellent, think it cost R600 or something. Well worth it.
Cool is it available in walk-in shops and whats the model name? How long does the battery last if I use both everyday?
It's the S510. Bought it a couple of years ago from Game / Makro. But yes, from a walk in shop.
I'm a Programmer / 3D Animator / Gamer and the batteries last months. Range is pretty good (not great), and most importantly, it's quite comfortable.

There might be a newer version of this. Just browse about on their website.

Don't you have sync issues with wireless? I've had several Microsoft wireless keyboards and mice over the years and have never found one that worked properly.
I could do with a proper wireless kb+m for something I want to try with my tv. How good is the range on those things exactly?
Sync issues? No idea what that is, so I'm guessing no.
Originally I bought the set because I needed a new set and needed something to play Frets on Fire with. This is one of the few keyboards that can handle multi-keypresses.
The range is fair, but you may have to point the receiver a little as it doesn't work too well through my desk or any other objects.

I suppose pairing would be a better word. With the MS devices, I had to press a button to pair with the usb device, but that didn't really work well. Sometimes I struggle to find the signal, other times it lost it while working, etc.
Never saw the logitech keyboard foozball recommended in the shops but saw the mircrosoft one want to try other shops to see if they have the logitech one so I can compare them![]()
Can't find it either. But these seem to be the newer models.

The 520 looks best
Thanks think I saw the 520 will check again in the shops pretty sure I did
I, for one, despise keyboards with large 'palm rests' that aren't removable. I was originally concerned this Microsoft keyboard's one would be too large for my liking, and while it's kind of annoying at times, it's just small enough and flat enough that it doesn't get in the way much.
Then again, I use a wireless keyboard and mouse a lot from bed, where my arms may be down at my sides with the keyboard resting on my upper thighs, like it's doing now - so the longer that 'palm rest' the more difficult it is for me to reach over that front lip of the keyboard to the keys.
I also dont use palm rests cause I use the table to rest my hand on while typing or playing so its not important to me.
Although I use the table to rest arms on, the palm rest on my K350 is still useful and comfortable.
