Doesn't seem to be a Witcher 2 thread after it's release, just wondering who is playing and what are your thoughts so far? I've seen Omega has been playing.

I'm really enjoying it, not as open as Skyrim, but I prefer the combat, so overall I have to say I'm prefer Witcher. Actual boss fights is a big plus for me.

Going to sink into this weekend.
Only did the first 2 missions. Very cool so far, just haven't had the time to get into it.

I think there is a thread in the main news forum about it that people have just been posting in.

I didn't enjoy the witcher 1, granted I didn't give it alot of time but still. 2 on the other hand I love to bits. The Smaller condensed levels lead themselves better to story telling than Skyrims Sprawling landscape. Combat, while not (IMO) as good as that of the Souls series it is alot of fun and once you get some Skill Points into Swordsman it becomes more a joy than a chore to face multiple enemies or monsters.

I am really enjoying the narrative and must say CD Projekt has come along way from Witcher 1. The Story feels suitably mature with every thing from the Sex Scenes that makes you wish CD Projekt did Mass Effect to the cursing NPCs it all feels perfectly in context, a feat some other games (*cough*Bulletstorm*cough*) should learn from.

I love this game so Much I went out and Bought the Dark Edition which should be arriving tonight. Will trade my standard edition for Sniper Elite V2 :p

I am (obviously) a bit biased when it comes to The Witcher, but I am going to go ahead and say it is the best RPG I have played on console so far. I'm about halfway through Act 1 in my third playthrough and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon. CD Projekt RED have done an amazing job in bringing the game over to X360 with only a few minor faults, such as screen tearing and texture pop-in. This is now the 6th time I am playing through this game and I am still discovering new things, e.g. yesterday I found out you can get a game over screen in the first couple of minutes of the game if you're interrogation with Roche doesn't go as planned ...

I love the little bits like that, like being able to lose a fight and then get hanged.

What? Where? If it's in Flotsam at the beginning I'm gonna have to wait for my next playthrough.

You see what I mean? Constantly discovering new things. :D

Yeah. I brawled with the guard. Didn't pay attention to the QTE (thought I had to push buttons) and lost. Got hanged. I also pissed Iorveth off and got myself shot up with arrows. :p

Yeah, thought some people would be interested in hearing a perspective from the xbox release.

Agree with it not being as good as dark souls combat, but yeah enjoyable. I'm actually enjoying the quests/story where as in skyrim it felt kind of like i'm just going through the motions to level up my character and couldn't really care less whats happening in the world.

Also playing it on the Dark setting, which was pretty tough at the start but seems to have gotten a little easier now.

I'm so excited, bought myself an Xbox just to be able to play the game. Now I just have to wait for this month's paycheck to go through and I'm buying The Witcher 2. So glad I will finally get to play it. But first I must finish Amalur.

I love it when I'm playing the same game as you guys and I have no idea what you're talking about :p

Then you must be in Flotsam.

The Witcher has an EPIC story and there is so much detail in the world. Not paying attention is a CRIME!

Like who noticed the guy at the Arena in Chapter 2 who you speak to, to fight is named Proximo....

It's not about the Gamerscore (ok, it is) but I laughed when I slogged through the first section of the game, dying, crying, rolling around, getting fried and then ......... 5G :p
Even Demons Souls gives you like 3 trophies when you start. I thought you'd lose trophies in that game !

Lol! Yeah they are a bit stingy with the Achievements, but some of them are really good.

On a separate note... my Dark Edition arrived last night. What an Awesome CE. However now I have a sealed copy of the Witcher 2 to trade for Sniper Elite V2 next Friday :p
