As a recovering WoW addict , the game ate 4 years of my life.
The graphics suck , they try to make it better with every release but its the same engine. The gameplay is fantastic , so many millions of people playing it right now.
Would i recomend anyone play it ? Yes and with caution.
The subscription is pricy and if you get hooked it eats your life.
Especially if you get into a raiding guild.
If you get into a guild you need to be at instances on time and it takes many many hours.
Also keeping in mind that you cant save the game and go to bed ,
brace yourself to get the gilfriend upset with you :P

Im holding out for Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 now.

Anyone else notice the un named MMORPG on blizzards website ?

Mystery MMO is old knews, and no BEFORE your mind goes all jerky about the thought of SCO or DO or WOSC or WOD, They ain't happnin fool. Blizz has stated that their new MMO won't be set in their currently existing blizzverse.

As for WoW, Graphics is quite good actually allows for more people to play the game and it does have some decent enough eye candy.
If you can learn self control over your gaming time then WoW =/= life-eater
Subscription fee : Pricey? Say whaaat? R120 man R120, That's like one night outs money (and quite alot less infact)
Oh and technicly you can 'save' the game, you get saved to a heroic and at about 7 or 8 in the morning your heroics get unsaved. But I don't really think ur gna take a break in a HC now are you ? Takes about 10 mins for one.
And with raids you get saved for 7 days! 7 days is easily enough time to finish all the content in a raid.
 
I don't think WoW's graphics suck. They chose to go with a specific art-style, which in all fairness has resulted in the game being able to run on some fairly bad machines easily.

Noticed? :p It's the stuff of much debate and speculation on the net. Sadly not World of Starcraft though...
 
I didn't mind WoW's art style...what bugs me is their later armor and weapon styles. FAIL!

Look at Vanilla WoW ... cloth looked like cloth ... plate looked like plate ... now you can't see what's what unless you check it's stats.

Tanks don't look like tanks anymore, paladins look like power rangers ... rogues don't look like ninjas any more either. The T1 Bloodfang set lvl 60 set was the best class-associated set ever to be released ...and the weapons suited it.

I hate that about WoW atm, how everything looks the same and makes no sense. :mad:

Hi Daederus , my rogue's name is Faloras - Ravencrest - EU - alliance - Blame it on the bunny.

I believe Oenis raided with the bunnies often. :)
 
Any patch notes available?

Afaik it should include the 4th VoA boss as well as the new arena season...
 
It could be, or i really do not know. It looks great. I know we had a SA server but sadly that one went down. I will have to check with the guy and see what he says.
