Worst game endings (spoiler alert!)

So, name and shame the crappiest game endings out there....

I have two:
Far Cry 2....after hours and hours of running around africa, you DONT get to kill the bad guy that the entire mission was for?

God of War 3....kill stuff, mutilate things, destroy crap...and just when it finally gets real fun...poof...done...totally unexpected and brings thoughts of "did the developers run out of ideas, or time?"

CoD:MW2 - Once again, you play Soap getting the crap shot out of him at the end. I was like, wait - didn't this happen last time. Don't make me play Soap next time, he attracts bullets :(

It was fine in the first MW, but MW2's ending made the single player campaign feel more like a rehash than ever.

Borderlands, was looking forward to entering the vault and killing aliens,
I didn't even get to go in at the end :(

Couldn't agree more! Was heeectic disappointing.. And then you start PT2... It was very anti-climatic for what was an AWESOME experience.

Far Cry 2: WTF is this shit? Thats it?

Freelancer: Again. Thats it!?!? WTF!?!?

Quake 4: Repeat above.

Prince of Persia (2008): " "

Borderlands: I WANT TO GET INTO THE DAMN VAULT!!!

F.E.A.R. 2: What just happened?

CoD 6 Seriously, I've survived millions of shots throughout 5 previous games, and ONE tiny pistol bullet makes me collapce?

The most disappointing thing about Borderlands' ending was the utter lack of loot at the end :( Seriously, you should have gotten some sweet stuff.

No real point in getting cool stuff right at the end though - game's pretty much over by that time.

A lot of the NES classic games, you'd play for hours and hours on end only to have the ending come up and say Thanks for playing :-D.

Haha, I agree and some of those games were crap difficult!! Nothing says "thanks Douche" like finishing a NES games after playing the same stage 20 million times and then getting a black screen with just the word "Congratulations" on it... Or even better...they loop the game and you end up on stage one again :(
(Seriously, after 50 stages of Bomberman, is this all I get? :p)

Haha or in Pacmans case it just bombs out, no one ever thought you'd play the same game to level 255 :-D.

sim city 2000: realising there is no end.

having a political victory in one of Civilization games, after amassing an army for a surprise world war to end all wars.

War is never the answer, :-D I liked the endings where I didn't kill a lot of people, I was a pacifist honest.

XIII. i dont know how many of you played that, but to me its one of the most underrated games ever!!!

But the ending was either the best/worst ending ever, i cant decide. You go through the whole game unveiling a cult of which the members are given number 1-20. At the end of the game you find out that No.1 is the president of the USA. Was like WTF?!?!
