Worst Service Ever!!!!

Flex

Will lift for boobs!
I am not usually the kind of guy to complain or make a scene.... but push me far enough and I will go off.

Took my car in the week, as the rear right brake calliper did not release properly, and wore the brake pad down all the way to the disk, and damaging the discs.

I took the car to the Dunlop Zone in Cornwall View Shopping Centre, Elarduspark, Pretoria. I told them about the problem and to fix it and replace what needs to be replaces. There was nothing else wrong with the car.

I got a phone call telling me the car has been fixed, full service done on the brakes and is working 100%.
Drove 1km with the car, the ABS warning light comes on, NO ABS. Stopped at home and the hand brake was not working on one rear wheel. NOTHING at all. Sending a car out, in wet weather like that is a hazard and utterly ridiculous.

The manager said that they test drove it and everything was 100%. When i got there and asked who test drove it, fingers were pointed around... and apparently no one drove it!

Waiting over 4 hours 2 separate days, and experiencing the worst service I have experienced I will never recommend taking your car to a Dunlop Centre for brakes, I will never be doing any business with them ever again.

Got hold of the regional manager and waiting for his response

I'm really glad you mentioned this. I live near there and they would be a place that I might consider for services or repairs. Thanks for the heads-up.

Sucks bru,

We changed your tyre like you asked... by the way your carborator & airconiditioner are also not working so I took them apart...

Unfortunately I have no idea how to put them back together so here is a bag of spare parts for you after I put them back together...

Don't mind the rattling noise it was like that when you brought it in man don't complain to my boss if you bring me a broken car hey?! I'll moer you wif my spanner :D

hope that cheered you up a bit

Sucks big time, wonder how places like that make money in the long run, you can only give bad service for so long before the word gets around.

Hellopeter that sch1t bru. That'll make them eat out your a$$hole.
As a rule of thumb when doing first time business with a company.

Always check the negative comments on hellopeter.com

I recently had a minor bumper bash... The only real issue was that a condenser in my air con was pierced, so that being quite expensive, i claimed from insurance... My Car was at the place the insurance told me to take it to, was supposed to get it back on the 16th March, only got it back on the 20th... Not such a big deal I could live with that... So I left the place in Wynburg, drove up grayston and turned onto the highway... Thinking o sweet now i can wind up the windows and use my Air con!

Needless to say I had no air con... I called them and was assured the air con had been re-gassed etc and they were astounded that the problem was still not fixed! How could this be! So i took the car back on Tuesday, Long story sort of short... They fitted a new condenser on Tuesday...

So yes... I know exactly how you feel...

Yikes that is ridiculous. How could they have not test drove it?!?! They put your life in danger!
You did the right thing by contacting the regional manager instead of arguing with those mamparas. Hope they resolve the issue soon.

Just a quick update. I took my car to the regional manager at Supa Quick in Menlyn.
They were able to sort out EVERYTHING in half a day. They saved me spending another R3000 on a whole brake calliper that the manager at Cornwall said I had to buy as it was broken... People these days

Hello peter and ombuds man is what you should do and give them gas i had a real bad experience with my audi a couple of years ago where the service guys who had to come drop my car used it for a joy ride and ended up doing 35k's damage to my car. After the ombuds man got hold of them they were quick to sort it out.

On another note i stay in elardus park so many of you actually close to me we should organise a braai

Yeah thats my point exactly! It was raining damn hard, what if it was someone that did not know what ABS does, and drove on the free way like they normally would and then suddenly has to brake and swerve...
