Worth buying a 360?

The thing is, I REALLY WANT Gears of War 3 :love:!! But is it worth buying a whole new console at this stage in it's life just for this game (And Gears 2)??

I want honest opinions, please :).

But you seem to manage PC, PS3 and Xbox gaming! Surely you could teach me to multitask :p! You reckon so :(...
 
If you can afford it and really want to play that game, then yes. Buying well into a console's life in the best time. Console is cheaper and there are plenty of cheap games available.

xbox 120gb ELITE - ONLY BOUGHT IT FOR GEARS 3 !!!!

Bought it second hand though for R1400

You must own both consoles exclusive gaming ROCKS

I don't remember owning an Xbox. :p

But, yeah I more or less manage it, though it's slow going through my massive backlog.

You'll also be able to play Alan Wake, Forza and Halo (and any others I've missed).

I'm thinking I should just do it! The HDD is internal right? And can't be exchanged?

This!!! Just get it. Make you own choices for what you wanna play.
When PSN is down :p, just switch to XBL. Awesome!
 
I also bought my X360 for one game (Witcher 2 - which isn't out yet), but now I have like 6 others. Don't really play them that much but it was still worth it just so I have all 3 main platforms. I know I'm not getting Gears 3 though.

The Slim is much quieter and just looks better, although the fat you can pick up for a pretty decent price these days. Depends also on what sort of storage you're looking at. The 4GB Slim goes for about R2300 new.

I voted yes because I'm an XBOXer. definitely get the slim. MS sorted all the solder issues they have in the older versions with slim so no more RROD's plus a 3 year warranty if anything does stuff out. Its a great console and XBL rocks it just sucks you have to pay for it but its only R50.00 a month.
