WOW starter questions

Ye, that might be true, it still comes down to a considerable time investment to get to be on even footing with most.
Both of you basically said it in your above posts, +TIME.
(Voicy, over what time period was that 7 days 4 hrs btw?)

Some of the guys I know simply gave up grinding and bought gold to get what they want, and they were serious freaking grinders! That says a lot. It could have been that they were just extreme, but still, what people are doing to get what they want....

And I am as competitive as the next guy, but having to resort to such extreme measures (craploads of time + money) = :(

I understand your point, but I think its everyone's own decision if they want to walk that path or not. I know I will need to spend a lot of time to build my char to get on even footing, and made peace with the fact that I will have ups and downs along the way. and its a first experience for me on WOW so I will try it out and see if I enjoy it. and lucky for me I've got a lot of patience

Yep, that is true, it is everyone's own decision.
Voicy did make a refence to WoW being a serious time-sink already, so you have been fore-warned :D

I didn't mean to stop you from trying WoW at all with my posts, I was merely asking the questions and seeing what is possible from the Pro WOW'ers'. They have answered my questions.

If I do start playing, I will go in with a strategy of note, that much I know.

Personally I miss the adventure of discovering new areas while questing. There's just so much.

At lvl80 all you really bother with is raiding. I like boosting lower level guys through dungeons etc. now :D

I appriecate the input lilDeath, I believe I am open-minded to other peoples ideas and suggestions. At the moment I work and study a bit, but I work shifts so alot of my free time every 1 else is working. So I have time to play alot, and hope it will help me save my money by going out less. ooh so much to look forward too, I get easily hyped about something :)
