I am a regular visitor to www.tweakguides.com , but for the last few days the site times out for me. I have checked with the site owner and he has confirmed that the site is up. I suspect it may be a MWEB issue. Before I go to them please could someone test whether they can access the site using a different ISP and post their results? Thanks

I have just called MWEB, their call centre can access the site....very weird, I'll call again.

Thanks for all the help, I have checked with MWEB and they ran a traceroute which stops at the company hosting the site. Seems I'll have to ask the site owner to investigate from his side.

Could it be that MWEB has been blacklisted by the company hosting the site?

Its possible. My dad can't email his brother in the Czech Republic because the whole of South Africa's IP's were blacklisted.

Tried at home with my Webafrica account. It didn't work, same problem like mweb.

Yeah, broken on my MWEB account as well. Telkom is fine though.

Try Hotspot shield (too lazy to google right now). It's a free VPN, which assigns you a US IP, which might help. I haven't noticed any slowdown on the line when I use it, maybe Youtube vids are a little bit slower, but everything works great otherwise. Also, they don't track what you DL as there is SO much traffic going through that they actually can't.
