XB360-type controller for PS3

Inevitability

Does anyone know of an XB360-like controller for the PS3?
Planning on getting a PS3 soon, but i don't like the controller. I much prefer the XB360 one.

try this:

But then you need a wired xbox controller

My buddy has quite a lekker xbox shaped PS3 controller. I'll ask him what kind it is

Hmmm... just thinking ... there must be people out there who could/would just rip open a PS3 controller and an XB360 one and then swap out the internals.

Sacrilege! I much prefer the PS3 controller anyway, but using a Xbox controller on a PS3, disgusting... :p

Seriously? Do you have really small hands or something?

Nope, my hands are larger than average, but I've used the Playstation shape controller for many, many years. I use an Xbox controller on my PC, but still feel more comfortable using the Dual Shock 3. :)

I guess it depends on what you're used to. I use my xbox more than my ps and it always takes a while to get used to the ps controller when I start a ps game. I way prefer the xbox controllers

Yeah it does, but I particularly hate the wireless xbox controller.

For two reasons:

1) the battery pack is in an awkward position, it gets in the way and forces you to hold the controller a certain way.
2) it's heavy, very heavy and can be overly straining when holding it for extended periods.

This is why I got the wired version for my PC, and why I personally think the DS3 is the best wireless controller ever. :D

ok, so it's also about how you prefer to hold the control. I find the xbox control very comfy, and the battery doesn't get in my way, however with the DS3, it feels like I have to turn my wrists in more, which isn't so lekker for me.

Then there's the R1,R2,L1,L2 buttons. With the xbox control, the triggers are more nice and triggery. Nice for shooters, and make for good pedal substitutes with driving games. The "bumper" buttons are easily pressable even when using just your index fingers there, you can press them with a knuckle, but with the DS3, you really need to have your index and middle fingers hovering there, which just feels awkward to me.

I don't mind the weight because I usually lie on the couch with my feet up, and I can rest my arms in my lap, and the weight makes it feel more substantial.

But that's just my personal preference I guess.

I personally much prefer the weight and feeling of the 360 controller of the DS, I've never liked the DS feel since it's incarnation back in 1997, having had a few consoles, the original Xbox controller was a little iffy. But the new one was as if the Gamecube, PS3 and old controller came together and made a wonderful nice weighted controller.

This I completely agree with, the DS3 has crappy triggers in comparison.

there's an easy and cheap solution for that ...

which is just the cheaper version of these:
