Xbox 360 may get slimmed down

Microsoft need to realize that blu-ray is the way forward. HD-DVD lost that battle, time to pick up the pieces and move on.
 
Wow. That slimmed down version is pretty good looking. But i'm guessing there still won't be an optical out port. And i wonder how th HDD will work.

What you mean by "there still won't be an optical out port" ?
The current version has an optical out and why exclude optical from a new machine? that would be really stupid.
 
I don't really need a slimmer console.

@ Welshman: The optical out is not on the console but on the video cable.

There is no optical out on the machine itself. It's on a seperate cable. Do you even own an Xbox?

I think I just misunderstood your post. It implied that there isn't an optical port.
FYI I've had a 360 since March 2006 - WAY before the launch in SA.
