Xbox 360 VS PS3

If that is the case then this is Nintendos 5th Gen console, as it's been around since 1983.
NES
SuperNES
N64
GameCube
Wii

And it's Sony's 3rd but Microsofts 2nd?

We need to work out a formula:)

I'll attempt:
Nintendo's 5th
Sony's 3rd
Microsofts 2nd

Therefore 5+3+2 =10

So if the 3 Current consoles combined "gen" = 10,
then 10 / 3 = current consoles average "gen"
 that means its the current gens 3.33rd gen:cool:

like i said previously in this thread, both consoles are equally good, the exclusives to each console makes each one a worthwhile investment.

I feel crappy saying this, but the Wii has already won the "3rd generaton console war". FFS they're doing so well, they could stop producing Wii games and consoles right now and STILL be the top dawgs for this generaton.

My personal opinion on this is... just because something sells the most does not mean its the best .... McDonalds.... highest selling burger in the world.... it isnt the best burger by far.....

Seems like FFXIII for the 360 is pretty gimped:

@Solidus : Well I mean the 360 version is the port. It's slightly expected that it will not look as good as the original version.

Same thing applies to all multiplatform titles. Which is why most PS3 mutliplats do not look as good as the 360 counterparts. (going by the concept most multiplats are developed with the 360 as the primary platform and them ported to the PS3)

The internal rendering resolution of games on the 360 is pretty much a moot point considering that ANA, the scaler chip, is pretty damn brilliant at handling the scaling to native resolution.

I honestly, desperately wish that the PS3 had a scaler chip.

As for MGS4 if i wanted to watch a movie i would have bought a dvd. I dont spend R700 on a title to watch it.

This has been my concern about BD all along. Shoving in content for the sake of using up space and neglecting the game play. I hope GOWIII doesn't follow suite.

I like long vids in games. As long as they are entertaining, and the gameplay between them is decent.

Some JRPGs an have 1h:30m + long videos! But I do not mind personally.
