Xbox 360 VS PS3

WOW, what an epic thread.
It got my attention since, I'm considering buying a PS3 slim or an XBOX 360.
I've got a PS2 for my kid with a good couple of games.
I've heard rumours that PS2 games won't work in the Slim? Izat true?
Also there seems to be a lot more content for XBOX 360?

The important question I want answered is which of the two platforms would be better for getting games for 6-10 year olds?

Where do you get 50%? Mine is no more of a thumbsuck than yours. Actually mine is based on facts, which I have seen somewhere, perhaps I will be kind enough to find the links when I have some time.

Anyways, Sony would have us believe that the PS3 game do everything including washing the dishes and taking the dog for a walk. Unfortunately, I still only see about 10% of this claim actually coming true. So, yes, well done IAP Sony has now worked out how to use and added 5% of the supposed power of the PS3.

So, let me get this right, and you're claiming that despite the fact that the PS3 is now the lead development platform the still can't produce the quality we see on the XBox 360 for multiplats? :confused: You're really not helping your argument, bud.

As a side note: I've had my Xbox 360 for near on 3 1/2 years (wow! has it been that long?). So even if it does depart to the console bin in the sky it has lasted longer then a lot of electronic goods I've had the misfortune to own.

The ultimate goal is to not let this forum go into a state like the one on mybb, so in order to prevent that from happening it is best not to feed the troll. Yes we have debates here and yes we can voice our opinions but arguing with a brick is totally pointless believe me.

Its pretty easy though!
Just got 2 more safes to crack (cant find them in the construction areas...

Yeh I cracked every safe including robbing the banks.... took over every single business i could and eventually had to end the game :p
 
robbing the banks are to easy in the game...
Just cut the wite, get a bruiser to break down the door then walk in and out! lol

because the quality has to be dumbed down to the lowest spec machine of the target platforms. In this case, that would be the X360. (last gen the Xbox suffered the same fate since dev's had to target the PS2 and Xbox 1 together)

Look to PS3 exclusives for better quality.
 
Complete rubbish. Not dumbed down just developed for the machine with the easier to code for platform. Hence Xbox360.

But both are awesome machines though. I do think the PS3 has much better hardware though and as a media center probably beats the 360.

Xbox360 has Live
PS3 has Blu-Ray

Both have very nice exclusives. I wont mind to have either to be honest.

i would say lately PS3 has taken the lead because of the price cut and the PS3 exclusives available now( MGS4, little big planet, etc) and future ones ( God of War 3). O and Blu ray FTW! :>
 
God of War 3 looks awesome. But then one has Fable 3, Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake and Splinter Cell Conviction on 360.... it's tough. :)

If that's the case why do they dumb down the game and then reduce it by a further 10% for the PS3?

You do realise you're allowed to increase the specs depending on the platform, since you're already taking all that effort to do a port?

The PS3 just has a sucky GPU, which becomes evident in multiplats.
