Xbox 360 will last longer than two more years says Microsoft

Yeah, saw that coming as they're selling so many of them and making nice profits. We need Sony to release a new gen console and force Microsoft to respond.
 
If the console games are lagging so far behind already, I wonder how they'll compare to PC games in two years' time.
 
I think the new generation will come in, at most , 2 years time but the current gen will still be serviced and developed for quite some time after that.

I don't see Sony rushing to release a next gen console any time soon either. Company's take a huge knock when they release a new console and usually sell it at a loss. Even with a relatively old PS3 Sony actually made a massive net loss of $2.03 billion in the last quarter of 2011.
