Xbox ditching MS points and dashboard revamp coming: report

So now what about the points we already have?!?!?!? You can't exactly throw them away and expect people to start from scratch... :wtf:

There will probably be a grace period. MS should just ditch the whole voucher system anyway - it's a blatantly obvious attempt to take more money from users than they can conceivably spend in one shopping session. You'll always have some virtual money left in your wallet, and you'll always be itching to spend it. This kind of consumer manipulation really irritates me.

Thank goodness PSN handles things differently, only charging you for the exact amount on the purchase, instead of forcing some crappy voucher system.
 
Yeh I guess you're right, it's better to have standard outright purchases rather than having an "e-wallet" type of system.
 
The other sucky thing is when the money is in your bank you get interest, when you get a voucher it's in their account and they are making money through interest before you even spend it.
