Xbox keeps losing its time

if you don't unplug it, it shouldn't lose it's time and date settings ......

+1 ! it only happens when you unplug it

or unplug it but keep the network cable in thus when you power it up (it will connect to live), the date and time will automatically be updated. (make sure u have cap though)

Yeah I have this problem too. I never unplug it, but we get a fair enough amount of power cuts in my house. Helps when I am plugged into the network, but this isn't always the case. Pity they didn't install a small CMOS chip and battery to keep this accurate.

Will have to live with it for now.

If you are'nt killing the main power and it is loosing it date and time, then it must be voodoo...

Nah jus kiddin, it probably is your power trippin or something, thats the only other thing that makes sense if you are not unplugging it.

Noob alert!!!! How long do you have ur xbox. Dude the time does that it only corrects it's self when you connect to xbox live. Sad but true. Check the manual if you don't belive me.

No it does'nt. I can switch mine on now, without the ethernet and it will have the correct time.

Dudes read the manual or go to the xbox site. When I first got my xbox it was funny for me to but after doing a google search I found that it's normal cause it's made that way. If you can prove me wrong then do so. I've had 2 xbox the first 20gb and now the 60gb after a Rod error.

I went on xbox live the day before last,it updated the time...I switched it off. yesterday when i got home I so it was reseted again, but thats not the wierd part. I decided to play a little GH and as fate would have it the time was correct....bloody freeeeeakyyyyyy
