[Xbox] MW3 Elite Question

I've been reading all the articles about how Beachhead Studios is trying to fix problems with Elite, how there are too many users trying to access the servers and how the PC version might never see the light of day.

After reading all this I still have a question: Is Elite working for some but not the majority or is it not working for anyone? When I try to download it through MW3 on Xbox I get an error report with "status code: 800700e8".
 
I downloaded it on day one, no hassles with the download process. I havnt tried it for about 3 or 4 days now as it takes ages to log in or load anything. So I've decided to wait until they have sorted themselves out before venturing back. Ill definitely go pro purely for the DLC as it works out cheaper in the long run.

I have been getting that same error since day one. I've gathered that this must either be due to the extreme server load or the fact that Elite is not yet supported locally (I have a ZA live account).

I read this update a few minutes ago:

That page shows the Elite server status as well as updates on the service. It looks like some do have access to it and that it's basically luck of the draw whether you can use it or not. They have even disabled some of the Elite features in order to lighten the load. Other than that, there are local legal issues regarding playing for money and that is why Elite is not supported.
 
Thanks for the info shibobo. I also have a ZA account. It says in the FAQ, as you said, that Elite isn't supported in ZA. Lame.

No problem. :) I am actually logged onto Elite as I type this. My MW3 gamercard seems to be working now and I can see most of the stats. The website is still on the slow side though. There is also a message informing me that I have a 2 hour double XP reward waiting. I will check if it is activated tonight.

At least the standard service is available and working (for the moment).
 
Tried downloading it on PS3 and gave a error as well. And i contact CoD and asked why is there no option to choose SA when registering but they advised they would later expand and support SA in the mean time we should choose any country closest to us.

What i did to download it i made a "UK" account and downloaded with no problems
