Xbox One is in trouble.

Read through the gamespot article. All those titles looked and performed better on the X360, they posted actual pics and proof. I did
Also a lot of developers have said the PS3 is harder to develop for, There is more than enough proof to support that.I agreed
Also I don't know what lvl of development you do, but I am pretty sure its not on the same level as Batman AC or Assassins Creed.
Not AAA game dev but AAA dev for multi platform devices and I face similar problems. Including indi game dev
Just from the way you respond I can tell you prefer the PS3 over the X360.I actually said that straight up. I used to prefer the 360 even went to the US to buy one at launch.
Nothing wrong with that but I have given you proof and you still argue.... You sited one gaming publication with an article that shows a handful of titles while there are similar lists going in the opposite direction mostly that are not valid for such a list.. Telling someone to google is not providing proof

Anyway I am out of this thread till we have more details on the new gen consoles, considering I am part of the PC master race I honestly don't give a shit about old gen consoled..lol :D

I'm a PC boi myself.
Console is just there for select titles.
Peace out .

What ever happens I will still choose the xbox one and I am a DS fan anyway so I use it more than my xbox.

Why would you choose the Xbox? Nothing against your opinion, just curious.

I just like the way the controller is on the xbox has compared to the ps3 which doesnt fit my hands properly and the buttons seem to be in the perfect spot on the xbox controller.

If it was possible to use the xbox controller on a ps3 I would go for that instead, but least I can use it on my pc :D

Im an xbox360 fanboy but moving ever closer to the PC everyday. Xbox lost me completely at their reveal. It sucked hard.

like one comment stated " hey we heard you like tv so we made a console that lets you watch tv on your tv."

this is the closest you will get to an xbox controller with a ps3, there's quite a lot of these on ebay

Speculation. Until both consoles are release we won't know. when released the ps3 was supposed to be a better machine than the 360. Did either have better games than the other? nope.

I beg to differ. The PS3 has MUCH better exclusives than the X360 (Uncharted, inFAMOUS, Heavy Rain, LittleBigPlanet, Yakuza, The Last of US, etc.) and I'm pretty sure the PS4 will have much better exclusives than the Xbox One in the long run. Especially with Sony being so open to indie developers getting their games on the PS4; both Warframe and Planetside 2 have already been confirmed for PS4 and I doubt they will release on Xbox One.

I love how everyone jumps in to defend his/her way of gaming. :) It's good for the business. ;)

Me...? I'll do what I did with the current gen consoles...... I'll get one and then the other a year or so later...... and maybe upgrade my G-card in my PC a year after that.

Killzone, Resistance, Ratchet & Clank, Gran Turismo, SOCOM, god of war, Metal Gear Solid, Time Crisis......off the top of my head.

It really makes me wonder why the actual flip I chose to go xbox 360

In hindsight I now realise that Sony really had their shizer together.

edit: HAS their shizer together

Killzone, Halo has been prove to be the better game (killzone 2 91% metacritic - Halo 1 97%, halo 3 94%, Halo Reach 91%)
Resistance - gears of war (we know who won that fight)
Ratchet & Clank - banjo kazooie
Gran Turismo - Forza (gt5 84% - all major forza games above 90%)
SOCOM - err if it was any good sony wouldnt have closed down the studio zipper interactive, would it
god of war - only good sony franchise imo until the new one fooked things up
Metal Gear Solid - apart from mgs 4 every single one is available on alternative platforms
Time Crisis - seriously, do people still play this crap ?

maybe thats a more clear answer ;)

Why are you comparing Resistance to Gears of War? They are completely different. One is a cover based third-person shooter and the other is a first-person shooter with unique weapons. The Bullseye and Augur are of two of the coolest weapons in the genre. Resitance 3 is one of the most atmospheric shooters of this console generation.

Gears of War 1 & 2 were decent, but 3 bored me to death in less than two hours. (I only played SP, I know one of the big draws of the game is the MP, but I won't pay for Gold membership.) I haven't played Judgment so I can't comment on it. The Lancer is also a pretty cool weapon.

Not gonna get into Killzone vs. Halo, as I don't really see much of a comparison either, besides the fact that both of them are first-person shooters. I have never liked a Halo game and I probably never will, but I do enjoy playing Killzone 3 online, never played the first Killzone, but the campaign in 2 & 3 was not bad, but it wasn't great either.

I don't really play simulators, but I have played enough of both GT5 and Forza 4 to know that Forza is the better game. Forza 5 is one of the only reasons I'm still slightly interested in the Xbox One; that and Dead Rising 3 and Mirror's Edge 2 if the rumours are true.

Haha my subconcious looking out for me!

I really thought socom was good on the ps3 though and I'm judging time crisis on what I play in the arcade. its my favourite arcade game.

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/06/07/xbox_one_internet_required_after_all/

Microsoft has finally confirmed that Xbox fans' worst fears are at least partially true: Although the new Xbox One gaming console won't need an always-on internet connection, that connection had better be on pretty often or you can forget about gaming. And don't assume you'll be able to sell or trade your old games, either.

"With Xbox One, we are planning for a connected future," the Xbox team explained in a blog post on Thursday.

What that means is that while offline gaming is technically possible with the Xbox One – as an earlier leaked memo suggested it would be – it will only actually work as long as the console is able to phone home at least once per day.

After that it's kaput, unless all you want is a media player – and customers who don't want to connect their consoles to the internet might as well forget about buying an Xbox One altogether, as the post explains:

With Xbox One you can game offline for up to 24 hours on your primary console, or one hour if you are logged on to a separate console accessing your library. Offline gaming is not possible after these prescribed times until you re-establish a connection, but you can still watch live TV and enjoy Blu-ray and DVD movies.

What's more, as Redmond notes, even though the console itself doesn't need to be online all the time, some games may not work unless it is.

I can't believe after all these years I'm coming around to Sony... Let's see The Last Guardian and I'm in.
