Xbox One Latency

Hi everyone

So I've recently started to play CoD AW and some days are better then others when playing multiplayer online.

I'm using a wired connection (4Mbps line). Sometimes my wife might be streaming something via wifi at the same time I'm playing.

What I'd like to know is when I do the "Detailed network statistics" test, is that a true reflection of my latency? During the week it's between 300ms and 400ms but weekends it's close to 2000ms.

I'm on a 100GB plan with Afrihost.

Should I be thinking about changing ISP maybe?

Thanking everyone in advance for their opinions😁

Do a latency test from the PC first to see if it's not maybe line-related ( exchange congestion )
if you get similar high latency without any downloads or activity on the line then your exchange is congested and telkom need to fix

Shot for the response blaaislaai. I'll check it out next time it happens. If my exchange is congested, can I ask Telkom to change my ports? Would that solve the problem (I'm not very tech savvy, just heard my friend said that once lol)

In rare circumstances resetting a port will fix the problem, but changing it at the exchange will make no difference. a telkom techie will need to upgrade the bandwidth at the exchange in order for your latency to improve.
