XBox One with Forza 6 for R5499

For some that is the progression (story). For you it might just be going around and around in circles, left turn, left turn.... but to my it's about tuning my engine, suspension, getting the tightest fastest line, how to take this corner to maximise speed, etc. I spend hours on the track doing just this...

also dont for get the paintshop!!

Now you're just phishing.

Phishing is the attempt to acquire sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details (and sometimes, indirectly, money), often for malicious reasons, by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.

Not sure if that's the word you're looking for. I'll gladly take your credit card details though :p

You know what I meant, and still you argue. You're just sooking for a fight, ne?

Can I way in here on why I love Forza.

Some people like fighting games. For the life of me I cannot see why. There is no point in them to me and it's just a bunch of button mashing. But in the end of the day, there are many people that like that type of game. They even go out of their way to get custom controllers and stuff for it.

As those type of people like fighting games, so I love racing games.

I have a huge interest in cars, and a game that gives me the opportunity to experience driving cars like that, even in a game, I'm sold completely. I love the mechanics behind cars and racing games, and Forza scratches that itch for me. The handling mechanics in Forza is also unique to other racing games which makes it even more enjoyable to me and more interesting to explore.

That's why I like Forza and that's why I am happily willing to pay any amount for the game.

Wasn't it you who never touched your PS4 though? It was someone. Hmm I think it was you. It would then maybe be cheaper to get something like Drive Club. Or you can get Grid Rally on Steam. Forza is great but I don't know if it's R5000 great. If you do get it though then we can maybe revive the Forza challenges that died when everyone got too busy.

It was and is me you are thinking of. I've really considered getting Drive Club, but I can't shake the feeling that it's just a poor man's Forza. Maybe I'm looking through some extremely rose (or should that be green?) tinted glasses at my prior enjoyment of Forza 2 and 3, or maybe Forza is just that much better than most (all?) other racing games.

I tried reliving those glory moments in Grid 2 and Autosport the past week, but I don't get that sense of satisfaction that Forza gave me. In Forza a change in tires, adjustment of shocks, tweaking of engine power, a different bumper or wing made all the difference in how a car handled and, most importantly, your time around the track. Like BeoTeK mentioned, I used to find the perfect racing line on a track and tried to shave of milliseconds by postponing hitting the brakes at a corner just before I spin out...

Cool, so are you going to join us? :p We will be starting the Forza Challenge afresh next year with more organisation and tables and all that. I'm just worried that you spend that amount of money and find it a waste.

I dunno, I can sort of understand someone buying a console for something like Halo, at least that has an interesting story that people want to continue and an active multiplayer scene that seems extremely popular. But just another racing game?

Yet you own Project Cars, DiRT Rally, Dirt 2 and Grid

"whistling:

Yeah, but I didn't buy my PC just for any ONE of them in particular. And in fact I think all of them together didn't even cost me more than R600

Exactly. And I didn't buy my Xbox solely for Forza. Sure it was the tipping point, but it's the starting point to console gaming, I will buy more games for it as time goes.

Which other games are you planning on getting on the Xbox specifically?

Rise of The Tomb Raider, Dead Rising 3, Quantum Break, Crackdown 3... to name a few and mostly just the exclusives.

So an entire console for 5 games then, some of which aren't even exclusives? Is that really enough to justify it? Surely there must be more.
