Xbox One X vs Gaming PC - Pricing comparison

Hmmm, nope. There is no way you can build a PC that can be compared to the performance of an Xbox One X.

This is from the PC World review of the One X:

Forgive me for repeating myself, but this is a long review and I want to make sure you didn’t miss the most important point: The Xbox One X is the best price/performance ratio on the market at the moment. Sure, you can build a PC that outperforms it at every turn—some of you reading this probably have. But native 4K gaming for $500? And in a form factor this small and this quiet? That’s pretty incredible, especially when you consider the jump from the original Xbox One—probably Microsoft’s low point for console engineering.

And they actually have one to test...

And usually with an Xbox you get a controller. A PC you still need a mouse and KB. and if you want to game (what this is about), a mouse pad. Lets not even get into screens, sound and all that.
These articles comparing consoles and pc are always done so half assed and been done 1000 times anyway

+1

Also I'm glad to say that the MyBroadband thread is becoming more civil now. :) I try to stay out of threads like that but um I couldn't resist it this time around.

It should be a full comparion though. This focuses on the 4K gaming part, so it means you need a 4K screen for the PC, but you also need a 4K TV for the console, as an example.

You can't just do xbox vs pc case.

Exactly. Most TV's have sound. PC screens do not. They left so much out it is not even funny

I also just realized they didn't even add an optical drive. The Xbox comes with a 4K Blu-ray drive, which as far as I can see, cannot be bought as a single unit for any PC at the moment.

Also, I made a bit more accurate comparison. Trying to keep the specs as similar as possible with AMD processors and all the stuff needed for 4K gaming:
