It doesn't look like anyone has posted about this here yet, so heads up, it looks like XBL is running a lekker sale at the moment.

I see on the SA marketplace today, there is
  • Crysis - R 64.50
  • WWE '13 - R 149.00
  • Bulletstorm - R 64.50
  • The Witcher 2 - R 129.00
  • Forza Horizon - R 149.00
  • Left 4 Dead 2 - R 129.00
  • Crysis 3 - R 169.00
Apparently yesterday there was

Xbox Live “Ultimate Game Sale” Preview

Next week, the Xbox Live Marketplace will kick off their “Ultimate Game Sale” and they sent over this list of upcoming titles that are scheduled to be on sale. There will be different titles on-sale at different times during the week, and while I don’t know exactly what will be on sale when or for how much, I’ll tweet out details and make a blog post each time a new groups of titles goes on sale. Here’s the full list of titles that will go on sale over the course of next week:

Though it's really disappointing that according to Microsoft $4.99 = R 64.50. I used to be a big Microsoft fan but these days I just don't know anymore.

Agree. It's getting harder to defend some of the decisions they're making these days. I really feel kinda let down lately.

A stupid question - do you need MS points to buy the games or can you use a credit card?

Buy points from a 3rd party website, and use them. It works out way cheaper and you don't have to give M$ your credit card details. I'm trying out ubergames.co.za, ordered 2100 points for R210 (10c/point), so Left for dead 2 costs me 920 MSP (R92), and Tomb Rainder is 1200MSP (R120)

Otherwise there's cheapcodes.co.za, evopoints.co.za, mspoints.co.za, or takealot.com

I simply use my credit card. I think you only use ms points if the price is in that currency. If there is an actuall price in Rands then its real money and you can use a credit card or paypal.

One thing to note, places like cheapcodes, evopoints, mspoints, and takealot have online payment options and they mail your codes straight away automatically. ubergames is a new one to me, but people on the xbox forum seem to approve of them, but they only have EFT available for payment, so they must process the order and send me the codes manually, so it's not instant, but they are they cheapest place I can find for points at the moment.

Hoping I get my points today because I want to buy Tomb Raider.

I'll let you know when they arrive
 
Update on ubergames. I got hold of the guy, and he says he's out of town today, but he'll make sure to send my codes this evening.

I tried to resist it. I really did. But I couldn't take it anymore and bought Tomb Raider. It just looks so amazing!

Haha, I am! I've got a backlog of games and yet I just want more and more. To make matters worse I'm usually so busy that I don't get time to play.

So now I'm trying to make more time to play games and trying not to buy more games. (Hehe I still try to win games everywhere)

It's tough though. Especially when a game like Tomb Raider is available on a special like this. :D

I can so relate, my gaming time gets less and less.
