Xbox vs PS3 Prices

SO it seems that the PS3 is now cheaper than an Xbox? Is this true now?! :wtf:

I went to CNA and a few others, and an Xbox 4GB was R2600, and PS3 160GIG (!!!!!) was R2500.

Seriously?! wtf.:eek:
 
Great price on the PS3, terrible price on the 360.

Just remember the PS3 HDD can be self upgraded, so do not pay R1000 more for an extra 100 gig, if you can get a way bigger drive for cheaper.
 
Well, should anyone be looking for a console, here's a deal:

The 320GB is only R3200, and I doubt you'll find a 2.5" drive to upgrade to 320GB for that price.. I would get the 320GB for that little extra..

Oh yes, I think game-on.co.za sold the 320GB for under R3k the other day?

I had a PS3 for a week and had so many problems with it. The guy that sold it to me felt bad and took it back and gave me my money back. He took it back to get it fixed and they told him that it was a refurbished model. Can you believe this? He paid close to R4500 for it(games included+extra controller)

I am saving for a XBOX 360 now. If you shop around you can pick the 4GB model up for around R2000. There is also bundled specials all over.

Well, believe it or not. He bought it at Makro. Game also had a few refurbished models they sold. They even advertised it in their weekly leaflets
 
You going from a "bad deal" of a ps3 to buying a xbox........gooooood luck buddy

Yep earlier this year makro / Game sold refurbished models (They advertised it as refurb) so they did nothing wrong as far as I recall the models from the shop included a 1 year swop out warranty
 
Hell, I'm waiting for my bonus to kick in before I decide. With the bundle deals, they seem quite similar to me. Only big difference is kinect & Blu Ray as far as I can tell.

I'm leaning towards the XBox purely on the Kinect at the moment, trawling the internet for good christmas deals is quite fun though!
 
I'm probably buying an XBox360 soon, my friends buy all the latest games on release day and finish them so quickly, that I can play it +-2 weeks after it's release, for free "whistling:

AND....

I am considering getting a second PS3 for my room, so I can stream my media from my PC in the same way I currently do to my living room.
 
Sheesh that checkers deal on there for 250gb with Kinect is amazing. R3600. I never thought that I'll buy my console at Checkers, but thats the cheapest deal by quite a margin that I could find. Go buying power!
 
pah about the failure rate of the 360: not and issue any more.

And PS3 way to expensive IMO. They need to realize that the bluray player is not a feature worth paying for anymore.
