XFX Warranty

I purchased a XFX 9800gtx last year march sometime from PC Zone Durban (Pinetown). Last night During a game of Call of Duty my card died on me

Theirs lines across my monitor and I cant get into Windows. So i managed to a get a hold of another Card and my PC boots up fine. I phoned PC Zone and the card is not under warranty anymore because the store only has a year warranty. But according to the XFX Webpage all cards come with 3 year warranty. And I also know Axiz sells XFX cards and they come with 3 year warranty. Is there anyway I can get my card swapped out? with Axiz or overseas?

I paid a lot for this card and bought it when it just came out....and I was really really looking forward to Modern Warfare 2. Hope I can sort this out before the release of Modern Warfare 2.

XFX cards in SA at the time of your purchase had two year warranties. BAsically the card is warrantied for two years regardless of what PC Zone has to say, they should by law take it in and send it to the distributor. unless they imported it themselves then thay are liable for the warranty. Best bet phone axis and ask them to run a serial query. BTW Frontosa also sellls XFX Products.

The retailer has absolutely no right to warrant the item themselves, the supplier at the end of the day makes the decision depending on the state of the card and the fault it has.

Try getting hold of Axiz themselves, they supply XFX branded products.
