You need to watch HBO's Westworld if you're a geek or gamer

Loved Episode 1, can't wait for more.

For some seriously badass 70s retro sci-fi fun, Westworld, the original Michael Crichton written and directed movie on which the new series is based, is well worth a watch. Stars Yul Brynner as The Gunslinger, an android who goes a little off-script.

You may be able to find a copy in your friendly neighborhood digital video store, arrh me hearties!

Apparently the new show occasionally alludes to the original film. Might be worth watching just to understand the easter eggs:D

I only found out about the movie last week, after starting the series.
I downloaded it but haven't watched it yet, I'm afraid it might spoil plot points in the series.
