Your best ISP for gaming online???

I play with a Web Africa account, best bang for my buck especially the prepaid roll over and the multi-realm (read, SAIX/IS/Verizon) without buying new accounts if lag is bad on one I switch to the other

I've only been using ADSL for a week (always been on wireless to a mate's place) and I haven't been dissappointed with Axxess's semi shaped accounts. It's unshaped from 5pm - 7am which is pretty much my gaming hours anyway :p

I'll still need to set up a local account with WA in order to play a fair share of BF2 again.

Does unshaped or shaped really make much of a difference to XBL??

Also... do you find that you are hooked up to mostly local games? What if I want to play my mates in London?

I am with mweb uncapped 512k line and it works very well. My lag is low with servers located in EU. Haven't tried others so I couldn't compare, but have no complaits.

Mweb uncapped 512 as well. Not the best for downloads but it works just fine with games, don't lag at all.

Got WA DSL Accounts and IS local only with route sentry to seperate local and international bandwidth

 It is all very well saying that this package is this great and that package is that great. But what I would like to see is the first company that is going to be brave and innovative enough to sell you a package of carry over usage.

What I mean is if I have a 3G monthly usage package and I only use 2G then next months package must be 4G. Or alternatively if I use 3.3G this month then my usage for next month is reduced to 2.7G.

You get where I am going, after all we are paying to use a full 3G in one month and if you do not use it then it MUST be carried over, otherwise I feel that the service providers are all double dipping.

Any ISP that offers unshaped bandwidth is ideal for gaming. Local accounts are even more ideal if you play on local servers.

Read a few posts back. Webafrica rolls over your data to the following month.

My reasons for using them as quoted by Acid above:

R125/gig (unshaped) is perhaps not the cheapest but in my books they are the most reliable ISP I have used to date (Take note WA, Acid and I need bundled discounts please :D ).
