Your Gamer Refinement

It all started out with a speccie for me. The 'Nintendo' 8-bit clones were also there however the ZX Spectrum was the first, followed by games on an XT computer of some kind (with Mono screen).

Doom 2 was the first serious FPS I guess, Warcraft (or Dune 2...my memory of the sequence of these events just sux) were my first RTS games and The Day of the Tentacle was my first 'point-and-click adventure' games that got me hooked BIG time. Played the hand helds too but they never really got me hooked in the same way that something like Warcraft did. I also spent way to much on those '20c' machines back in the day...

wow this thread title sucks... makes me cringe everytime I see it... sorry guys.

Could have been worse I guess. Either way it's kinda what you were mentioning but maybe something like "Gamer transitioning" or something would have been more appropriate (I know I only cared to mention how I got started and not what I've "evoled" to).

I remember starting on what i think we would call the SNES, Just remember playing games like Mortal Kombat, Mario, Contra, Xcite bike, that damn Circus game etc

Evolved onwards to PS1 & PC (Early memories of Warcraft 2), Age Of Empires, Duke Nukem, Doom (probably actually one of my first PC gaming memories)

Then PS2 and more PC gaming, and the rest is history
