Perhaps this is a topic best discussed in another thread?

HR as an experience is great. As a game ... it suffers from an great amount of limitations. There are only X amount of predefined things that you can do at any stage during the game.

So yeah, technically if you define a game with the lowest common denominator being "user inputs commands via interface and actions happen on screen", then yes it's a game.

It's a lot closer to the old school Lucasarts SCUMM titles of olde. It's more of an evolution of film than that of videogames. If it was an evolution of videogames, then it's regressed.

Just my opinion of course.
 
Quite a cool thread, seeing as I have a PS3 and an Xbox. If games are multi-platform i'll get them for xbox and only buy PS3 exclusives.

So far I have:

1) GT5 Prologue (not overly impressed with it, but ok)
2) Uncharted 1 (pretty awesome, but I still suck at shooting on consoles)
3) Little Big Planet (ossum to the max!)

Do you prefer the Xbox to the PS3 because of the controller?

As for the exclusives - looks like I need to get my hands on MGS4 and Uncharted 1 - loved the second one!
 
Demon's Souls, without a doubt. Probably the best game I've played on the PS3, exclusive or not. I really hope they make a 2nd one..

God of War 3, GT5 if it actually comes out before the PS4 is released.

Ordered Demon Souls, should get it this weekend. I have heard that it gets quite harder each time you die..making the game pretty frustrating..

Just kill yourself in the Nexus each time you revive back to your body (after killing a boss). Seriously, do that, trust me. Best to play in soul mode when trying to control the white / black balances.

It's challenging, but not in a cheap way. Well, PvE isn't cheap. PvP on the other hand can get cheap at times with all the guys running around with the Meat Cleaver and just swinging away. There are ways around it though.

Best advice I can give you is get a buddy to play with. Use Teamspeak on your PC to voice chat. I did over 200 hours this way and it was awesome. Buddy of mine was an archer. When we were invaded he could take out the black phantom with a single arrow. You need to use specific items etc but it was damn funny.

Well...

The Xbox controller is MUCH nicer, but:

I already have 2 Xbox controllers VS only 1 PS3 one.
I prefer the Xbox UI and actual console.
My mates and bro don't have PS3's, so swapping games is easier.
