Zachary Quinto has been cast in Fox's upcoming Hitman movie reboot, Agent 47. The report, which comes from Deadline Hollywood, does not mention the role Quinto will play.

Zachary Quinto is best known as Spock in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek reboot and its sequel, Star Trek: Into Darkness. Quinto previously played Sylar on NBC's Heroes and is currently in The Glass Menagerie on Broadway.

Agent 47, the follow-up to the 2007 Hitman film starring Timothy Olyphant, was originally set to star Fast & Furious star Paul Walker before the actor passed away in a car crash last November. Earlier this month, news that Homeland's Rupert Friend was set to replace Walker proved the project would carry on despite Walker's death.

The film will be directed by Aleksander Bach, based on a script from Skip Woods and Michael Finch.

Hopefully it can be much better than the last movie,it was like watching a music video all flash no substance.

I was pretty sceptical of how Paul Walker would play the role of Hitman, but this guy seems the much better choice.

I really enjoyed the first movie! I thought this was one of those cases where a movie comes out that you enjoy, and then never sees another remake and your left feeling like the ugly step child no parent wants to love...

I agree I don't understand all the hate the first film gets. I thought it was pretty good. So I take it the new film is a reboot and not a sequel then? The article says "follow-up to the 2007 film..."

its a reboot

+1 on the 1st one, it was pretty good for a game to movie adaption (a shitload better than the abomination of a max payne movie wahlberg made)

Yeah, Max Payne sucked, I just can't understand why they don't use David Bateson or Jason Statham.

Seriously? A reboot? The first one was perfectly fine. Unfortunately there just isn't a large enough following to make it a blockbuster hit. So I'm not sure what they are trying to do.

Exactly... They are going to mainly get an audience of Gamers, and hopefully pick up a few random people that will enjoy the movie, the fan base is ultimately gamers... If they do a whole reboot of him as a child etc (no spoilers here;)) I will be lank pissed... We dont need all the background to be redone...

The first movie was complete dross,a reboot was badly needed. The first movie gives The love guru a serious run for it's money in the worst movie I have seen category.Just my opinion.

Look, lets be honest. Agent 47 would never be a decent character in a movie. It's like giving Morgan Freeman a voice.......

But no, I enjoyed it.

Betrayal and Shame actress Hannah Ware will play the female lead in Fox's upcoming Hitman movie Agent 47, Hollywood news site Variety reports. Plot details are being kept under wraps, so we don't know which character Ware will portray or what role she'll have in the movie.

Ware will star in Agent 47 alongside Homeland's Rupert Friend (Agent 47 himself) and Star Trek's Zachary Quinto, who will play an unspecified role. Friend replaced former lead Paul Walker, who died in a car crash in November.

Filming on Agent 47 is expected to begin in March. Commercials director Aleksander Bach is directing the movie on a script from A Good Day to Die Hard writer Skip Woods and Michael Finch.

There are multiple new Hitman games in development, including a new AAA project from series creator IO Interactive, as well as mobile games from Square Enix Montreal.

Never heard of her before. Wonder what role she'll be playing.
