Just want to find out, is that upgrade only? Can you not install it as stand alone as a clean install?
Hey Nucleous, it's upgrade only meaning you'll need to have Windows already installed prior to installing this one.
It will allow you to do a "clean install" ie. formatting your hard drive during installation, but only if you run the setup with a previous legitimate Windows already installed and activated on the PC in question. Doing a clean install of this version on a pre-formatted hard drive will give you an error stating that the key provided allows upgrading only.
Below are links to the 2 available versions of Windows 8 Pro which do not require a pre-installed Windows on your system.

As you can tell there's quite a substantial price difference, which is why the upgrade pack is fantastic if you just wanna upgrade from a previous Windows.
Hope this helps
