President Jacob Zuma's approval levels in urban areas have stabilised close to their lowest point since the last general election, a survey revealed on Monday.

Zuma's approval rating in the middle two weeks of May stood at 42 percent, research company TNS South Africa said.

In February, Zuma's approval ratings fell to their lowest with 41 percent saying they believed the president was doing a good job, TNS said.

Surveying 2000 people from the 6 largest cities in the country is hardly what one could label "indicative of the nation's populous."

His approval with the poor is still through the roof - else he'd have been long gone. Let's not fool ourselves.

This. We can only hope that this is a more general feeling amongst majority of the "masses"
 
Zuma will find votes from somewhere to secure the reelection of his henchmen. That or he'll be handing out free t-shirts and food vouchers to gain votes. Hook or by crook, as they say.
 
I don't normally get involved in political debate, but I really hope that the dissent bleeds through to the "masses". I would like to see some figures that include all walks of society, not just 2000 people from the biggest cities.
