Overwatch might get a free trial like World of WarCraft

19 August 2016

Overwatch could be receiving a free trial mode similar to those found in other Blizzard titles like World of Warcraft, reports PC Gamer.

This is after fans datamined the game’s latest patch and found some very telling lines of code.

Specifically, three strings relating to a free trial have been dug up, according to Overwatch fan site Overpwn:

  • “Sorry, the Overwatch Free Trial is not available at this time”.
  • “Group members using trial cannot enter competitive play”.
  • “Not available for trial”.

As there are currently no free modes associated with Overwatch, this heavily implies that one is on the way.

Another totally useless article… I wonder if these idiots think the developers made the game for Xbox, then deleted everything and started from scratch to build it for PlayStation, deleted everything and started yet again to create the PC version from scratch…

Seriously, where do these articles come from? It honestly feels like someone reads a magazine in a doctor’s waiting room, sees the words “VR” and before he goes in to see the doctor we are all subjected to his article about “Some day surgeons might use VR to practice doing dangerous procedures. Here is 5 more paragraphs on my random, uninformed thoughts”

    WTF!?!?!?

Right before launch there was a free trial period on the consoles… Halloooooo… 3 mysterious lines of code that spell the game going free one day: Explained … “Already happened months ago”. Wow, someone finally read three lines of code a few months late to the party? Let’s write an article predicting the future because we are too lazy to do our homework.

Know what, I am unsubscribing from this site right now. This place is nothing but a total waste of time.
