The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim gameplay trailer is live

24 February 2011

The first official gameplay trailer for Bethesda’s highly anticipated RPG The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has just dropped, and boy oh boy, it’s tantalising. The trailer shows off some in-game footage, mixed with footage from the CGI trailer we have already seen.

The scenery is looking stunning, and the models and animations are also looking good – a far cry from the clumsy wooden experience of Oblivion. There are high hopes that Skyrim, with its all-new Creation Engine, will break the stigma that has plagued games built on their Gamebryo Engine.

We even get a peek at some combat and the legendary dragons that Bethesda has made so much fuss about. Of course, there’s only enough to whet our gaming appetites, and everyone at the MyGaming office is now ravenous for some Skyrim.

A picture speaks a thousand words, so head on over to MyGaming’s video section to check out The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim gameplay trailer.

You can also try checking in on the official Elder Scrolls website, which is under a feverish visitor assault by gamers around the world, and as a result isn’t always accessible at the moment.
