Magicka: Vietnam DLC expansion is a parodific reality

2 March 2011

Magicka developer Arrowhead Studios and publisher Paradox Interactive made a splash at GDC when they unveiled their first expansion pack for Magicka. The game is full of amusing references to everything from popular culture, classic movies, internet memes and gamer culture. It therefore shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that they’ve carried over that tongue-in-cheek manner and have adopted one of the biggest games of 2010.

Magicka: Vietnam – prepare to take the magical mayhem to the jungles. Not much more information is known at this point and Paradox apparently doesn’t have Magicka: Vietnam on display at GDC, but we can expect more info to emerge shortly. Watch the trailer below for a taste. If you look closely you may notice some interesting gameplay elements, such as a staff that fires like a machine gun. The song is pretty catchy too.
